European Youth Olympic Festival is the only multi-sport event involving both winter and summer festivals where only the European countries, 48 members of European Olympic Committees (EOC) participate. First EYOF was organized in Brussels in 1991.

The EYOFs :

1991 in Brussels (Belgium);

1993 in Aosta (Italy) and in Valkenswaard (Netherlands)

1995 in Andorra-La Vella (Andorra) and in Bath (Great Britain)

1997 in Sundsvall (Sweden) and in Lisbon (Portugal)

1999 in Poprad Tatry (Slovakia) and in Esbjerg (Denmark)

2001 in Vuokatti (Finland) and in Murcia (Spain)

2003 in Bled (Slovenia) and in Paris (France)

2005 in Monthey (Switzerland) and in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy)

2007 in Jaca (Spain) and in Belgrad (Serbia)

2009 in Slask Beskidy (Poland) an in Tampere (Finland)

2011 in Liberec (the Czech Republic) and in Trabzon (Turkey)

Starting with the EYOF held in Esbjerg, the European Olympic Committee (EOC) has organised a seminar on the Olympic Movement for young sports journalists, during the summer edition.


This year 4000 athletes from 49 countries are going to meet in Trabzon. They will compete in 9 categories: Athletics, Basketball, Cycling, Gymnastics, Handball, Judo, Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming.

EYOF'a Gönüllü Başvuru Rekoru.


Konuyla ilgili açıklamalarda bulunan Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi (KTÜ) Öğretim Üyesi ve EYOF 2011 Trabzon Gönüllü Yönetim Direktörü Prof. Dr. Miraç Akçay, Trabzon'da düzenlenecek olan oyunlarla ilgili şu ana kadar yaklaşık 8 bin başvuru yapıldığını belirterek, "Müracaatlar beklediğimiz rakamın çok üzerinde olduğu için artık gönüllü başvurusu almıyoruz" dedi.

Beşirli'ye ait bir complex paylaştım ama ordan her geçişimde 4-5 tane tesis inşaatı görüyorum. Sanırım daha başka bilmediğimiz projeler de yapılıyor. Resim bulmaya çalışacağım. İnşaatlar baya ilerledi. Hızla gelişmekte.

olimpiyat koyunun renkleri olmamis yine... bu renk secimini yapan ayi, gorme ozurlumu ne??

Koyu kırmızı renk kullanmak moda oldu bu ülkede, ne kadar iğrenç duruyor binalarda bu renk, köy kilimi yapıyorlar sanki..

tesis inşaatlarını canlı olarak gördüm güzel tesisler kazandı trabzon umarım kıymetini bilirler.

yes, alot of us go to turkey especially antalya etc, persian singers sometimes have concerts around persian new year (march) and alot of persians go to turkey
its a good break from the stupid rules the regime forces on us and everyone hates

turkey has excellent resorts and beaches and hotels flood with persians at times:D
nd we look like that, but the media f***s everything up, they think we dress like traditional arabs thats 100% wrong

the average persian gives great attention to how she/he looks. most of our population is liberal. yes, maybe not all can afford to travel, but that doesnt make them less liberal. dressing and looking nicely is highly regarded in our culture, and so is valuing liberty and freedom. dont listen to the stupid media!!!:)

Well I didn't say not being able to travel makes someone less liberal. It's just upper class people tend to be more liberal.
I know you are not like Arabs, but you guys must definitely get rid of sharia asap, then it would be kick ass :yes:
