i spent a few days in London in early July and August, plus a couple of evening-morning trips for about a week and a half total.

in July it was nice and cool; in August, it was as hot as if i was still in the deep south of the U.S. anyway...

wow, nice pics, that last pic is amazing - it brings the skylines of "the city" and Canary wharf together. Very good

Sorry for our really wet August weather - it was the wettest since records began - so its not like that every year - honest :):)

hope you enjoyed your trip

thanks y'all.

NothingBetterToDo, thankfully i missed the storms on August 3rd by a day. there's nothing to apologize for, i only ran into rain on a day or two during August. it was a nice change from the heat, too.

Really nice pics; they show the human side of London really well

The last one is great:

Its difficult to find a vantage point that unites the City and Canary Wharf skylines... I presume this was near Edgware Road or somewhere like that?

You've also captured two of my favourite buildings; Centrepoint and Senate House

thanks Tubeman.

the pic's actually from the 22nd (i think, maybe 23rd) floor of the University of Westminster at Marylebone Road dorm, right across from Madame Tousaud's. that's the view from the window by the elevators.

and speaking of Edgeware Road, that's what i saw from my room on the 13th floor (that'll be in the next part.)

Ahh yes...
Oxford Street with good old Centre Point,
Tottenham Court Road with good old Euston Tower,
Leicester Square, BT Tower, Piccadilly Circus, etc.
It sure brings back a whole lot of memories
from my three years in London in
the early 90īs!
London is huge and totally rules!
Thanks a lot!
Keep them coming! :)

Excellent Photos! I love all of the street scenes, I like to see the people of a city as well as it's architecture. Sometimes they even resemble one another, like american suburbs tend to resemble the people who live in them.

i spent a few days in London in early July and August, plus a couple of evening-morning trips for about a week and a half total.
