Actually kung titingnan mo yung website nila di mo makikita yan, pero if you go to that link "About Us" which will bring you to the group profile ng Swiss-belhotel, makakakita ka ng icon ng PDF File, nung dinownload ko nakita ko sa PDF file yung upcoming projects ng swiss-belhotel....Dun lang pala nakalagay, tagal ko na kasing inabangan tong project na to....Last revision ay Nov. 2008....:)

I think the Swiss BH Project also includes those two hi-rises behind it...because the proposal says 350 rooms...built on a 3-hectare+ lot area.

I believe this is legit, pero they will probably construct paseo del rio first (road networks, power utility, water utility, drainage system) before the hotel. usually ganyan ang nangyayari sa mga projects like this.

Yup you're right sir, kaya di ko nilagay na U/C ito. Things can change kasi, we never really know what will happen next. The purpose of this thread is basically to let everyone know yung details ng Swiss-belhotel coming from Swiss-belhotel mismo, no sugar coating needed...:)

Paseo del Rio covers the development of the properties traversed by the Don Apolinar Velez Extension including the Rotunda and Kagay-an Bridge Approaches...so basically, all basic utilities (lighting, water, road drainage) are in place as these were provided/installed by the city government and completed during the inauguration of Kagay-an Bridge... say only the lots need to be developed...more like a lots only subdivision where only the housing units need to be constructed. In short, the Paseo project was envisioned to develop that area as planned by the city government as another commercial center.

as seen in the rendering of Paseo below, you can see the rotunda at the center of the development...the roads seen are the city roads already completed and the bridge is the Kagay-an Bridge...only the vertical aspects remain and of course the river protection.

the one enclosed by the red line lang ang Paseo which is the lot owned by the Pelaez Family...of course the adjacent vacant lots owned by other personalities would also benefit.

I think, the file from swiss-belhotel's website has been updated, target opening date is aligned to what is displayed in their "UPCOMING DESTINATIONS" webfolio, saying that the hotel will open in the beginning of 2010.

We shall then expect that anytime this year, contruction will commence...

Nakakalito lang kasi based on this file (also taken from that file in their corporate website), the total number of rooms for the hotel will be 350, while the previous file presented says that it is only a 300-room hotel...Kahit asa nila pweding-pwede....pero mas maayo kung 350-room hotel sya...:cheers:

Yup, actually dugay ra kasi there was an e-mail coming from Mr. James Tam confirming that swiss-belhotel will be constructed in Paseo del Rio. GearX forwarded that e-mail to some of the forumers kaya we already know it, nag-antay lang talaga kami ng further confirmation such as what has been depicted in the file...:cheers:

Update:The February 2009 Press Release of Swiss-belhotel also shows that Swiss-belhotel Cagayan de Oro will open by 2010.

Guys, please do update us if you see any activity within Paseo del Rio, if we recall, included in the 1st phase of contruction for PDR is the hotel project which I think is the Swiss-belhotel...:)

Honestly skeptic din ako na early 2010 matatapos na to, same goes with the quezon city project mukhang di nila mame-meet yung timelines nila..I maybe wrong though...

For those who have not received my PM, the construction of phase 1 is scheduled to start by the 4th quarter of the year. As of now, the project office for Cagayan de Oro has not yet been set up, so the project is still being managed at the Corporate Office which is situated in Hongkong. :cheers:

Yong construction ng hotel nato ay kaya naman gawin in 1-1 1/2 year based in my personal observation nung nasa UAE palang ako, for example most construction in Dubai na ang bilis talaga,

i can question the way the term (Opening.....2011) encoded..it is not place in the center of the Logo/Letterhead, and it is darker than the other black letters..that's only my observation..:)

Yup you're right, if you see discrepancies in the file, then it's not within our control since 'twas taken from their corpo website. What's impt. is that the project according to a very reliable source is set to start in the 4th quarter :D

Kahit pa sinabi ng SVP ng swiss-belhotel na construction will start late this year, anything can change pa naman. Once construction begins, saka lang din ako magiging fully convinced :okay:

Naa nay lumot :lol:...Seriously, dugay pa man gud ni sugdan. Kanang target contruction date nga "late this year" dili pa man sab na klaro, pwede pa mabag-o (IMO). Kanang info nga last Q this year masugdan ang phase 1 of the project came from the international investor, hinaut nga naa tay makuha pud unta nga info from the local partner (GOPEL Group) regarding the projects within Paseo del Rio kay wala pa ta kabalo sa ubang projects within PDR...

Oo nga di pa nga nasisimulan yet nag-groundbreaking na yun last Sep 2007 pa yata. I heard na aantayin pa daw muna yung development ng MRT station bago ito simulan? :dunno:

all Im saying is nga kining project na ni we should not worry if madayon ba or dili kay the fact nga nagka interest sila eh assurance na na may market na talaga for such projects..if (IF lang ha) ma delay man or ma cancel man and important eh nasa radar na nila ang CdeO and if they back out then another developer can always come in to take a share sa hotel market na yan :)

Oo nga di pa nga nasisimulan yet nag-groundbreaking na yun last Sep 2007 pa yata. I heard na aantayin pa daw muna yung development ng MRT station bago ito simulan? :dunno:

I checked the file from SB Hotel's Corpo Website for update. Wala namang bagong info. Yung SB hotel sa QC ay meron nang reference code at new picture of the proposed condotel.

Ito yung screencap ng CdeO project nila, no more no less :D

The proponents of Paseo del Rio, has already asked for an endorsement from the city council relative to their application for accreditation with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA). Such application would enable the developer incentives for the development of the project.
The GOPEL Group of Companies led by their CEO Ms. Rafaelita P. Pelaez, have initially announced in September last year to develop their property near Kagay-an Bridge, straddling Barangays Nazareth and Macasandig.

In their pursuit of the project, the Pelaez Family even donated the rotunda of the property to the city. The opening of new vehicle routes in the area has helped decongest traffic in the city proper.

Strategically located at the foot of Kagay-an Bridge that connects to Barangay Carmen, Paseo del Rio will eventually emerge as Cagayan de Oro City’s newest growth area within the urban center in the years to come.

The mixed-use development project was designed by renowned Filipino Architect Felino Palafox, Jr., whose works include Rockwell Center in Makati City, SM City China, Palm Island in Dubai, Al Khobar Complex in Saudi Arabia, Ayala Business Park in Cebu City and the Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, among others.

His firm, Palafox Associates has master planned more than eleven billion square meters of land and has been involved in the architectural design of more than six million square meters in building floor area in 33 countries. The architects, planners, and designers bring together a wealth of experience gained from working around the world.

Palafox Associates is the only planning and design firm in the Philippines that has made it to the London-based World Architecture Magazine’s Top 500, Top 300, and Top 200 Architectural Firms in the World for seven consecutive years. The annual worldwide survey is internationally recognized as the most comprehensive survey of its kind. In 2006, Palafox Associates breaks into the Top 100 and ranked 94th, the only Southeast Asian firm cited in the world’s Top 200 largest practices.

The multi-million Paseo del Rio project will also complement the city government’s “Golden Mile Project“. which is now under construction.

The proposed Paseo del Rio project is designed… “as a place where people can walk, shop and dine in one walkable community…” The concept of Paseo del Rio is a multi-use approach of development in the project site that will boast of high-rise waterfront buildings and global-sized hotels of at least 350 rooms, restaurants, mixed-use commercial and business centers, playground, covered walkways, bicycle lanes, gazebo, rotunda, underground parking, and many amenities and recreational facililities.

In Palafox’s presentation to the City Council last year, he said they only need the flood data of Cagayan de Oro River so everything can be finalized.

In January this year, riverbank portions of the property were submerged with floodwaters causing some concerns if the project would eventually push through. However, in recent radio interviews, City Councilor Emmanuel Abejuela has said the proponents of Paseo del Rio has perfected their mixed use development plan which will inlcude the river protection portion which will connect to the Golden Mile project.

Abejuela said he is optimistic the project would start late this year after the PEZA Accreditation. He also brushed aside reports that the city cannot host hi-rise buildings stating that the city has a robust and solid ground which can accommodate buildings up to 35 storeys high. The only soft portions in the city are located in the Bayabas-Bulua area near the seashore because these are accretion areas.
