The picture in the NY Times showed a kid shoveling the hail in the street...very amusing.

Again... it was hail ;). Generally it does not snow in Australia, at least not in any of the major towns/ cities. However obviously we do get some snow up in the mountains, but that is usually the extent of it.

Really? I think Sydney looks beautiful under snow! Pity its just hail, but well, I HATE the cold, so if we can have hail in Spring I'm perfectly fine with it. :)

schmidt August 13th, 2005, 06:21 PM Last hailstorm I've seen over here in Brazil was in Feb/04. The day I was coming back from Canada I saw a LOT of ice in the road, it looked like if I was back to Toronto hehehehe. The other day we had ANOTHER hailstorm in my city, which badly damaged my grandma's house :(
