cái thread nào mà mấy bạn có sàng kiến mở ra..........ta dám bảo đảm ta đã mở hết rồi từ thời Hùng Vương lập quốc

nếu bỏ thời giờ mò thì sẽ thấy có cả trăm cái threads có giá trị với hàng chục ngàn tấm hình các loại........cũng như bao nhiêu là tài liệu do ta chăm chút và thổi vào từng công trình, từng tấm hình chứ không phải post 1 cách vô hồn thế này

người xem rất cần 1 kiến thức tối thiểu về lich sử, kiến trúc của 1 toà nhà và những câu chuyện bên lề để giải thích tại sao nó có ở đó, và tại sao nó thề này.......và bao nhiêu là điều

yeah........1 toà nhà như vậy max 3 cái máy lạnh là qúa đủ.......ngoài trừ mấy cái cục đó là quạt máy hay tổ chim bồ câu

ta chẳng hiểu sao VN mê máy lạnh như vậy.............ở phi trường hongkong to lớn hiện đại như vậy mà muà xuân sang hạ nó nóng kinh khủng và chẳng dùng máy lạnh.........cả công trình dùng gió thiên nhiên, lấy ánh nắng và gió thiên nhiên, nên khí hậu rất dễ chịu, du khách biết nhiệt độ nơi đáp xuống ra sao

về tới VN phải mặc áo lạnh ở phi trường, vì phi trường TSN lúc trước nhỏ xíu mà người ta mở máy lạnh để ướp xác......nó lạnh kinh khủng lạnh......ai làm việc cũng mặc áo khoác........để rồi bước chân ra ngoài thì nó nóng kinh khủng.........nóng ngộp thở

đáng lẽ phi trường là nơi mà giao hoà cho du khách từ từ làm quen với khí hậu của nước đang tới.......và nên mở quạt mát, hay máy lạnh nhẹ thôi.......người ta mở máy lạnh kiểu bắc cực.............chỉ thiếu ,mấy con chim cánh cụt nữa là TSN sẽ như Nam Cực......kinh khủng, tốn điện, hại sức khỏe..........làm nấm mọc đầy trong nhà

It is very easy to post bigger pictures. All you have to do is to click on the pictures in flickr; it will enlarge them then use that to post. Ho Chi Minh City Hall or Hôtel de Ville de Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Head office - Trụ sở Ủy ban Nhân Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh). Hotel de Ville was probably the prettiest building from the French colonial period

I am not sure that I understand what is "colonial architecture". Can you make a definition of it ? Is it a style ? Is it referring to a period ? Is it typical of a particular range of architects ? Is it only a administrative architecture ? What is it ?

For instance are these buildings in Hanoi comprised in what you call "colonial architecture" ?

colonial is anything up until the French's departure
so u can say architectures that were built in 1944-45 were all colonial architecture

and you can also use the term colonial architecture for any early project built in VN prior to the urbanization, before the French built all the styles and periods architecture replicated the ones in their home towns .............like Ben NHa Rong in Saigon.........that's French Colonial architecture...........because it was built before all the Classical, ROmanesque, roccoco, art-nouveau in saigon

Do you have some more photos of Phan Dinh Phung street ? I know that this street is reserved to communist apparatchiks and is difficult to photography therefore but there is one house in particular, so far I remember, with a Chinese hole circle balcony that is very nice.

Do you have some more photos of Phan Dinh Phung street ? I know that this street is reserved to communist apparatchiks and is difficult to photography therefore but there is one house in particular, so far I remember, with a Chinese hole circle balcony that is very nice.
I can post pictures of those villas on Phan Dinh Phung street or around Ba Dinh District but I hope I am not into a trouble because the top leaders of the country is living in those villas.:lol::lol: Of course, I can post picture Obama or all former presidents’ house without any problem.

nhìn mấy cái ảnh năm 1999 và 2009 mới thấy một số tòa đại sứ ở Hanoi lúc trước là biệt thự công hay trụ sở công cái gì đó. Cũng may là Hanoi là thủ đô nên tận dụng được mấy biệt thự Pháp cũ làm đại sứ quán, chứ như ở Saigon biệt thự Pháp thành quán nhậu, nhà hàng, cafe... và đa phần là bị dòm ngó xây cao ốc. Mấy cao ốc 10 15F mới xây ở Q3 đa số là từ biệt thự Pháp mà ra.

Điều thứ 2 ta muốn nói... nhìn nhà Pháp vào tay mấy tòa đại sứ quán trông thật đẹp và sáng sủa, lành mạnh, yên tĩnh, sạch sẽ. Nhà Pháp vào tay VN thành màu vàng khè, từ trụ sở Bộ ngoại giao, trường Gia Long, Bảo tàng dân tộc học.... Thà mất 100% biệt thự PHáp vào tay ngoại quốc còn hơn nhìn thấy cảnh biệt thự PHáp biến thành nhà ma, cao ốc ống hoặc sơn màu lòe loẹt...

that is the residence of the USA embassador, not the embassy..........the embassy if a big ugly glassy tubehouse

United States Ambassador's Residence in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The house was designed by M. LaCollogne, Principal Architect and Chief of Civil Construction Service in Tonkin and built in 1921 by Indochina Public Property, part of the French colonial government, for Indochina Financial Governors who lived here until 1948. The house was then assigned, until 1954, to the highest-ranking Indochina Tariff Officer. When the French left South East Asia in 1954, Vietnamese government officials moved in. Vice Minister Phan Ke Toai was the last occupant, and at his death the house became the headquarters for the Committee for Foreign Culture Exchange. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs press office was located in the building until 1994. The residence was included in an exchange of property between the United States and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1995
