Alila Hotels & Resorts is to make its debut in Cambodia, taking over management of The Sothea in Siem Reap.
The all-suite resort, which opened in 2009 and lies in the heart of Siem Reap - known for the Unesco-listed Angkor Temples - is to be rebranded as Alila Sothea.
Alila Sothea has four categories of suites including the "king suites", with design inspired by traditional Khmer villas, private garden or balcony, library and in-suite spa area with Jacuzzi and massage beds. The resort also has a spa, saltwater pool and two restaurants, Chatra and The Terrace.
Alila has also unveiled a new ten-bedroom residence at Alila Villas Soori in Bali, on 5,250sqm of beachfront with a 20-metre pool. The residence is pitched at those looking for celebrations, family holidays and group escapes.
The group is currently slated to open further hotels and resorts in China, India, Laos, Oman, Thailand and Vietnam.
