If you included Mississauga skyline, you should have included North York, nice pics though

Bad angle for the Mississauga shot,....too many buildings missing in the image. There should be some sort of contest with a prize for anyone who can take the best skyline shot of Mississauga. Perhaps in the next couple of years with all the buildings being built finally constructedas it'll be easier.

Thanks for posting these.
A note on the Ottawa skyline shot: it predates the burning of the Rideau Club on Wellington Street (circa 1979). Might want to update.

the best picture is the skyline of toronto from the other side of lake ontario. who took that picture? where did they take it? i've seen toronto from port dalhousie before, maybe this was taken at the same place?

You could take a clearer one from across the lake in Niagara in the Wine Region. Today, was a clear day for that, but alas, I did not have my camera with me.

I personally dont think we should add missisauga as a major city in canada since it`s population growth is only triggered by toronto...It`s like saying that longeuil or laval are big cities just because they`re almost montreal suburbs.

I don't quite understand your reasoning. Mississauga is a major city in Canada, moreso than a lot of people may think. Businesses in Mississauga outnumber those of many other so called major cities, its population is 700,000 regardless of its geographic location which some people have a hard time getting over, Mississauga does have its place as a major Canadian city. I've been to both Longeuil and Laval, Mississauga cannot compare to neither with the exception of its close proximity to Toronto, like Lavals close proximity to Montreal. Longeuil is more like Etobicoke if you ask me. What difference does it make where its population growth is triggered from? All cities at one point or another began from migration from one location to another so this is no different.

With that logic, you should also be taking exception to Burnaby B.C then!!!
Dont ya think?

I`m just saying that if there were to be a list of the top 10 most populated cities in Canada , I would expect missisauga not be on the list and to be counted as a suburb of toronto.

Well, Gatineau and Burnaby aren't major cities either. And Mississauga has a bigger skyline than many of the cities here, and skylines is exactly what this thread is about, so I don't see what the problem is.

we should wait a couple of years for some projects in Mississauga to be completed and the newer projects to be well underway, perhaps the naysayers will change thier views on Mississauga then.

.........BTW.........beautiful shot of Winnipeg!!!....one of the best I've seen so far.

In all fairness, irregardless of if Mississauga is a "major city" or not, this thread is all about skylines, and nothing more. And considering Mississauga does have a fairly visible skyline, there's no reason it should be discluded.
As well, Mississauga is probably one of the top growing skyline in Canada (as a per capita, or per building basis I should say)
