Supertech to invest Rs. 600cr to build 255 metre tall tower (http://www.indianexpress.com/news/City-Lights/757969/)
NEW DELHI: Realty firm Supertech will invest Rs. 600 crore to develop a 255 metre tall residential tower in Noida. The company will offer a total of 1,326 housing units with prices of up to Rs. 2.25 crore in the tower that it claims will be the tallest in North India. “The project, North Eye, will be the tallest in entire region with 60 floors and 255 metre height. We will invest Rs. 600 crore to develop the project,” Supertech CMD R K Arora said. Asked about the source of funding, Arora said it would be largely met through internal accruals and advances from customers. The company is in talks with PE players to raise funds.

BE Billimoria bags Rs 500 cr construction contract (http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2011-06-28/news/29712674_1_tallest-building-supertech-commercial-floors)
NEW DELHI: High-rise construction specialist BE Billimoria & Co has bagged the contract to construct Noida-based developer Supertech's flagship project, North Eye in Noida. The contract is worth Rs 500 crore to build north India's tallest residential project at 255 metres and 60 floors. The building will have a total area of 2.1 million sq ft.
The structure will include shopping and retail areas, residential and commercial floors, restaurants, recreation and sports options. Supertech also plans to build a swimming pool, an observatory and a helipad on the 60th floor. According to the contract signed between Digant L Kapadia, managing director, BE Billimoria & Co and RK Arora, chairman & managing director of Supertech, the building is to be completed in 45 months.
BE Billimoria & Co has successfully completed 500 projects including the residential building of the chairman of the Reliance Group at Mumbai, Planet Godrej, Petit Tower for Tatas and Lodha Bellisimo.
Abhishek901 August 11th, 2011, 07:34 PM Hey IU, haven't seen you around these days.
Btw, the floor area of this 60 floor building is 2.1 million sq ft. DEL T3 has 5.2 million sq ft. Isn't it amazing to think that a terminal is more than twice as big as a 60 floor building.
PS - DEL T3 is the largest building in India by floor area and Dubai T3 is the largest building in the world by the same aspect till I last heard. Don't understand where is this hidden floor space in the airport terminals which makes them so large.

World8115 October 2nd, 2011, 12:24 PM ^^ 255m, 60 fl. Here is the the thread of it- http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1326525
azzi282 October 2nd, 2011, 12:41 PM Ok thanks. Forgot there was a thread on this building.
Licit Mortal October 4th, 2011, 05:24 PM Really looks ugly. What a waste of space and money! Wonder if the authority who approved this building plan was blind!
:bash::bash:
India101 October 6th, 2011, 04:18 AM ^Would you like to win a studio apartment in the building
In the national capital region, Noida-based Supertech has come out with a lucky draw to make its buyers “feel special”, where the winner can get a studio apartment under its project ‘North Eye’ in Noida. The apartment is priced at around Rs 55 lakh.
Link (http://www.business-standard.com/india/news/property-developers-dole-out-festive-freebies-to-revhome-sales/450857/)
But yes, the only good thing about this building is it's height.
Indian Sun October 6th, 2011, 05:22 AM 55L ? That's it ?
truckin October 6th, 2011, 09:14 AM ^^ 55 L is for a Studio Apartment, i.e. one room including kitchen. Other 2,3,4,5-BHK would obviously be much much more expensive.
Master of Disguise October 6th, 2011, 12:35 PM 55L ? That's it ?
It would just be a 400-500 sq ft hall with kitchen and 1 washroom ....55 lacs are heavy price for it...and its final end cost would be around 62-63 Lacs all inclusive...
Indian Sun October 6th, 2011, 04:06 PM ^^ I see, ok.

Samrat November 26th, 2011, 10:36 PM So now we have our fourth possible skyscraper city after Mumbai, Hyderabad (most of them are only planned, they are not doing shit though), Gujarat's GIFT and now Delhi.
Yes, we all are happy having these skyscrapers coming up in our beloved city:cheers:.
but how did you forget Kolkata(!) which comes next to Mumbai only.
By citing Hyderabad you are counting the chics which are not hatched yet.
Kolkata has currently the following skyscrapers under construction:
(a) 250 metre(54 floor) - diamond office building on Chowringee road
(b) 167 metre(46 floor) - (5 Nos.) and 150 metre(41 floor)(2 Nos.) Urbana buildings - at Anandapur, South-East Kolkata
(c) 150 metre - (2 Nos.) Westin Hotel and The V
(d) 40 floor - the Air
(e) 152 metre ( 2 Nos.) The Atmosphere
(f) 43-floor - 3rd tower of Oasis
Currently Kolkata has at least 35 buildings having more than 25 floors greater of which you will not find in any other city except Mumbai.
By the number of skyscrapers - present and future, Kolkata remains and will remain at No.2:)
dunefreezer November 26th, 2011, 11:18 PM ^^Me too, It really stands out from the others. The other one that is really stunning is Unitech's Golf club that looked like so futuristic, ofcourse we don't know if they will really look like the renders.
EDIT: I don't know what happened, the above post doesn't correspond to my reply anymore. I was talking about SuperNova which is my favorite project in North India.

Humn...I agree to your points , however, Noida ( Delhi NCR) itself have 110 buildings of 25 floors + under construction together with many ready .
Gurgaon too have more than 30 towers already done with...( 25 floors Plus)...
Also, most of the twers are not just 25 floors or something they are more than 40 levels....
So yeah I believe Delhi NCR is right there on the map
I am just waiting for these new towers to come up here in Delhi NCR..
Samrat November 27th, 2011, 05:50 PM ^^
I will be more than happy if you kindly give the list of these 25+ floor buildings in NOIDA which are already complete or TO. Please note that I am talking about completed 35 buildings in Kolkata and not U/C.
Still, I do not think NOIDA or Gurgaon have more than 35 buildings of 25+floors as of today(i.e. 27 November 2011). If so, please enlighten us with the complete list.
Thanks in advance for your list:)
Master of Disguise November 27th, 2011, 06:40 PM ^^ Sure will....and as I said 100's of them are UNDER CONSTRUCTION...
Jaypee Kosmos in wish town Noida have 50 towers of 27-29 floors U/C( have reached 12-15 floors already) , then Unitech Grande project have almost 8 towers ...almost TO...then there is Celeste towers ...2 towers of 35 floors almost TO...also, 10 towers of imperial courts and calypso courts are done with ....( both having 25-29 floors each)....+ Jaypee Sun court( topped off) + many more
Gurgaon have 3 towers of DLF Belaire done, DLF Park princes 8 towers topped off, DLF Cybercity 2 towers ( 25 floors) , with big number of real skyscrapers UNDER CONSTRUCTION...
so yeah Delhi NCR do have a skyline. moreover in Delhi CP have 3 towers of the height mentioned with DLF Capital Greens well under construction ...and Raheja Phoenix coming up along with 3 tower by Parsvnath Builders of more than 40 levels...
dunefreezer November 27th, 2011, 07:34 PM @samrat
Im sorry I didn't know Calcutta joined the club too....I was more interested in striking skyscrapers than just "number of skyscrapers"...Now I'll give it number 4, Lets kick Hyderabad out, cuz they are not making any progress......Remember I'm talking about the future and not in terms of the number of skyscrapers, but rather in terms of drop dead gorgeous towers...Calcutta made it because of "The atmosphere".
1. Mumbai
2. GIFT
3. Delhi
4. Calcutta (Please excuse me IF you find it offensive that Im calling it that, the old name sounds much more cooler)
In the case of Mumbai, old name was intimidating, so I'm cool with the new one.

Its OK.
I knew that many buildings are coming up in NOIDA and Gurgaon but still they are lagging behind Kolkata in terms of No. of existing skyscraperss . Its always desirable to look for future but at the same time we should not ignore the present because present is the base of future.
GIFT is also in the making. My point was that Kolkata stands at No.2 at present. There are many players in the queue right now. so we don't know who will hold what rank.
Many people do not know that the first high rise building in India came up in Kolkata in the early 50's(New Secretariat building, 13 floors). As we all know Kolkata could not keep pace in terms of development with the time and had gone a back bencher.
Now the wind has changed direction and surely it will regain its past glory.
Some of the buildings which are coming up will be land mark not only in Kolkata but also in India. for instance, The Westin Hotel and V as well as The Atmosphere
Lastly, I am a resident of Delhi for the last 3 decades now and I think I am in a position to say its my city as well.:)
Nilay December 17th, 2011, 12:03 PM OK,now stop this fight.:bash:
I want every Indian cities to have a prominent skyline. But a good skyline can't make our city a global city.Sometimes I visit chinese SSC forum & sorry to say but their tier-2 & tier-3 cities have much better infra than our metros.Isn't it a shame?
I think first we need to develop our villages so that the migration to cities become minimal. After that we need to improve infra of our cities. After that only we can talk about skyline.

IndiansUnite April 16th, 2012, 07:19 AM The central tower will have 60 habitable floors with apartments for sale, so that's why their ads have always mentioned 60 floors. Doesn't make much sense to me but that's just how Indian developers have always advertised their projects.
Floors #1 and 2 will have retail space, #20 - a business center, #46 - a club for partying, #65 - an observatory and #66 will have an open air restaurant+pool.
