IC has granted its second investment license in Tourism and Hotels Sector, the approval was granted to an Iraqi company with a Kuwaiti partnership supported by global consultation offices. The license was granted after a comprehensive study of the project which is in a cost of 107 million dollars, located in Al- Saraji district behind the presidential castles complex and in an area of 158 dunum. The project consists of two stages:
- The First Stage: an entertainment city and a zoo including seven constructions, the period of its implementation starts after six months from the date of granting the investment license on an area of 51,9 dunums.
1. Parking Lot
2. Games Park
3. Zoo
4. The Mall
5. Multi- purpose sports hall
6. A number of restaurants from global brands
7. Aqua Park
- The Second Stage: its implementation starts after the end of the first stage period and it extend over three years including the following constructions:
1. Five Stars Hotel
2. Opening new green lands
3. Touring apartments
4. Integrated aqua city
1- Parking lot:
The area of the park is 15000 m2 with global technical standards containing global electrical roads for entry and exit ( Automatic Electronic Gates), also it is supplied with modern illumination system as well as modern traffic signals with all the various types of security means, warning sirens and surveillance cameras.
2- Games Park:
Its area is 27500 m2 containing areas for various games for under or over 15 years old, it also contain fountains, different modern flashes, five big shows for children games, toys, stories, books and pictures.
3- The Zoo:
Its area is 36250 m2 , containing various kinds of animals ( Lions, Camels, Monkeys, Deer, Birds) in addition to several artificial forests, lakes and water birds. Also, it contains cafeterias for quick service food.
4- The Mall :
Its area is 3000 m2 , it has three storey with 120 commercial shops selling different kinds of goods. The mall contains cafeterias, cafes, different display screens and fast food restaurants. Elevators and escalators have been added to facilitate the movement of the customers. Moreover the mall contains fences green lands in an area of 7500 m2 .
5- Multi- Purpose Sports Hall :
It includes different fields like bowling, billiards, table tennis and badminton, in addition to a hall for basketball, volleyball, handball and football five. Moreover, it contains other halls for weightlifting games for body building. Also there are closed halls for the developed electronic games as well as different centers for internet and computer.
6- A Number of Restaurants from Global Brands :
These are build according to the international standards on an area of 18000 m2 , they use the latest equipments as well as the best chiefs. They are restaurants of famous global brand such as: the Indian restaurant, the Chinese restaurant, Italian, Lebanese restaurants and McDonald's.
7- Aqua Park :
A modern entertainment project that includes a number of aqua games like: swimming pools, fish, plastic boats, aqua plants and some marine animals like dolphins.
8- Five- Stars Hotel : The hotel consists of (35) suites with (200) rooms with a total area of (15000 square meter ), it contains :
a) Official Meeting hall.
b) Training workshops supplied with all the equipments and requirements ( sound display and illumination sets).
c) Special hall for festivals and occasions, note that the hotel is supplied with three five stars restaurants serving eastern and western meals.
d) Winter- internal swimming pool with sauna, steam- bath and summer swimming pool in the hotel garden.
e) A hall for sport games and fitness games for men and women.
f) A Parking lot that accommodates a 100 vehicle in addition to green lands and fountains that represent the front yard of the hotel.
9- Constructing a touring apartment complex ( Chalets): including the followings :
a) Touring apartments on Shatt Al- Arab beach in an area of 10 dunums consisting of 50 chalets.
b) The chalet contains a bathroom, a garden and a parking lot.
10- Integrated aqua city :
The aqua city contains artificial lakes, aqua games of different shapes and sizes on an area of 40 dunumes.
The city also contains water resorts, aqua shows, aquatic livings pool, restaurants, swimming pool, corridors for boats racing and plastic boats, as well as a submarine accompanied by a hypothetical realistic show that takes visitors beneath the waves.
