If our local forumers can check in here that would be great. I know many of us dont have homes let alone electricity but if you say hi and let others know you are ok it would be appreciated.

Also if any guys need help in any way feel free to post here.

Im good, cbd resident so obviously evacuated. I do have access to the cbd so have gone in to check things out at home. Our building looks surprisingly well but obvious my neighbours on either side have lost their homes. Afaik no one on my block has lost their lives thankfully.

Am hoping to move back home in the next couple of days fingers crossed. If anyone needs a room once the cordon has been lifted I can offer a place for a few days. Just not sure when will have power / water back.

Dont think anyone needs reminding but if you can be a good idea to change the msg on your cell. Just letting ppl know you are ok.

Also VERY good idea to always have cash, phone and keys in your pockets. Including when (if) you get to sleep at night,.

I may have missed people but aware Matt, indictable, rooty, appeciate station are ok. Mr Station was in the Cathedral not long before the quake hit.

Im just assuming Cartel has been tied up with the crap going on in Egypt somehow. Dont even know if he's in NZ right now.

I know the buildings on the Manchester/Lichfield cnr near his bar are now lying on the road. No idea how His Lordships Lane is looking but its probably safe to assume its all destroyed.

Been shopping today, went to Church Corner, they had pretty much most stuff. Except anything that was glass and their bakery is closed. Heaps of bottled water thankfully.

Its sobering to see that photo and know I stand on that corner a couple of times a week. Im stopped at those lights often.

Oh thats right thats what I came to this thread for. Anyone needing financial assistance contact 0800 779-997. No idea exactly what govt dept but they will deposit funds into a nominated bank account for any Chc residents, whether you have stayed in town or cleared off.

Safe here, was on Colombo, sydenham end, absolutely leveled. Went back to the lanes, and everyone got out all ok i was told from the mitchellis crew.
