Though its very uncommon, snow does fall in Joburg. In 2007 several centimeters of snow fell in the Joburg CBD and even more in the southern suburbs. Post Johannesburg snow pictures here. :)

Snow in San Francisco?? I didnt even know that was possible! It snows less in San Francisco than it does in Joburg. Im sure it was nice!

In 1981, it fell 6 inches of snow, the first year that I went to school, it was the first time I ever had seen snow in Johannesburg. My mom must still have photos of me and my brother playing in the snow back there. In 2007 it fell 4 inches.
Pretoria did have a light snowfall and before that it had snowfall back in 1968.
Unfortunately, now I see snow to much frequentely.
