Another development for the fast growing city of Tagaytay.
d00dz March 1st, 2011, 04:06 PM Nice!
Where in Tagaytay will this be built?
Edit: Nvm, found the location on Wikimapia ( http://wikimapia.org/#lat=14.100929&lon=120.949409&z=16&l=0&m=b&search=sm%20city%20tagaytay )
bagumbayani March 2nd, 2011, 12:58 AM SM owns a large tract of land right across their Taal Vista Lodge and adjacent to the casino so I assume the proposed mall will be there. A mall will be a welcomed addition but I am hoping that it could have an almost outdoor type mall like Honolulu's Ala Moana Center and not another indoor one that's typical of other SMs.
makatiprime March 2nd, 2011, 07:10 AM tagaytay is a city of immigrants...
InformaticIAN March 2nd, 2011, 01:58 PM tagaytay is a city of immigrants...

bagumbayani March 4th, 2011, 01:23 AM When do you think will SM start constructing the mall? Will they wait until their Wind Residences are completed. I hope they'll break ground soon para mayroon nang mall na mapupuntahan kami. Thre's really nothing at Robinson's Summit Ridge.
huanggua March 4th, 2011, 02:04 AM A very good addition indeed. SM should build one in Hamilo Coast as well.
Aziza1121 March 4th, 2011, 04:01 AM Great find, Henz and d00dz! :applause:
bagumbayani March 6th, 2011, 09:43 AM Oh no. Not an sm in hamilo. Maybe just a small supermarket like savEmore in downtown Nasugbu
griposakanto March 8th, 2011, 09:00 AM Tagaytay is definitely becoming more and more crowded and disordered.
bagumbayani March 8th, 2011, 02:27 PM Tagaytay is definitely becoming more and more crowded and disordered.
I just hope that the city will have better urban planning and learn from the lessons of Baguio. The city needs additional main road so badly
makatiprime March 14th, 2011, 07:54 AM the only solution is to widen the roads upto 8 lanes, but because of hilly and mountainous terrain it's impossible to do that and also the high price per square meter of lot along roads and highways, the only possible thing to be with tagaytay is to be a bustling ang crowded metrocity....also a traffic congested metropolis

One immediate solution is to move all the sidewalk vendors, including fruit and vegetable vendors, to other locations. Stopping vehicles on one side of the highway definitely make one lane impassable hence causing a traffic mess.
noli-kun March 16th, 2011, 07:53 AM I hope SM Tagaytay will have the same setup like that of SM Baguio - well-designed plan to allow for natural cross ventilation so there will be no more need for central air-conditioning system.
San-Mat March 16th, 2011, 03:58 PM Its only a weekend destination.
Tagaytay is really dead or so slow during the week days

Robinson's Summit Ridge in Tagaytay has that countryside outdoor look. SM's design should be like that instead of being a boxy-type indoor shopping facility. That's why I am quite disappointed with their ten-building now under construction Wind Residence because their design was so unTagaytay-like.

ang talino mo talaga...oo nga ano? para pwede na mag shopping yung mga sirena at syokoy sa dagat dun...nice idea..wait..tawagan ko si henry sy:lol:
Henz March 30th, 2011, 10:58 AM in my understanding.. its not yet the final rendering... its only a perspective of what will be the future SM Tagaytay...
The only definite is it will be in coherent with the identity of Tagaytay city as a mountain resort and vacation area...:okayL

That's good news. That rendering does not reflect the area's countryside atmosphere. However, the ten twenty-story Wind Residences that are now unde construction will already ruin the city's character
Sinjin P. March 30th, 2011, 01:21 PM That drawing has already been posted here 2 years ago. Someone clarified that it is only a project proposal of an archi student.

I am not an architect, but I will give that archi student a C for failing to blend Tagaytay's countryside them and his proposed mall. What he proposed is just typical of other SM malls throughout the country.
makatiprime March 31st, 2011, 04:37 AM dapat lang na hindi sa cliff side dahil yung view ng taal ay di naman kgandahan para sa isang mall...let the residences live in the view side but a mall must be in a typical flat lot/land, mahirap na baka magkalandslide, malaking investments ang mawawala sa sm....sm baguio ay may magandang view din, pero mas maraming tao sa other sise na walang view, pinag aralan na yan ng sm in a thousand aspects kaya ganun naging plano nila
