this isn't the baghdad eye lol, thats a ferris wheel they erected in zawraa park...its part of the theme park

so if UAE eye (60 m) in Sharjah is the biggest in the arab world .... then that one is less than 60m :D

I thought the baghdad eye was dead, it was announced in 2008 when the oil prices reached all time high, and Iraq had "too much" money to spend..

so i'm not sure if this is the baghdad eye.. the baghdad eye had a different render as well.

by the way "london eye" is actually the third largest ferris wheel (135m). china (160m) and singapore (165m) are bigger.

also. note that "eye of the emirates" is not the biggest ferris wheel in the middle east. The one in Mashhad is 80m high.

that's right, the Singapore Flyer is the biggest, tho lots of people claim that the london eye is ! maybe because of the insane over-publicity it received when they opened it ..

in any case, this project doesn't look like a record breaker, looks like a very average ferris wheel to me :dunno:

so this is definitely not the Baghdad eye project..
