Haven't got time to get the pics, however it's a fairly standard looking tower set where an existing motel now sits and the corner of Boundary Street and Brenton Street in South Brisbane.

A filler.

I'm really not liking this hideous looking blank concrete wall. When will they learn! :ohno:

^^ Will it be a blank concrete wall? The renders give me the impression that it will be covered in cladding as opposed to painted concrete.

The scale of the 'blank concrete wall' works perfectly. Just a bad perspective.

yeah, I've seen a lot worse 'blank' walls than that. Besides, it's on Boundary Street. Who cares :)

People who live in West End, and that does look like concrete to me.

I'm reserving judgement, I'm not convinced that it will be concrete yet.

And in the renders in the middle, it doesn't look that bad really. The top image I think makes it look a lot worse than it actually is (and makes the building from the podium up look like it came out of the 70s!)

Like your average West Ender would care much.... honestly

I think your average West Ender would care more that another building like this is going into West End at all, as opposed to what it looks like.

Haha. I live in West End, hence why I said that.

I think west end people are some of the biggest wingers of development in Brisbane. Note* - 'some of' i didn't say 'the most'.

Looks like this one has been reduced in height to 10st + 16st. Nothing major.
