I am currently asking the senior editor to upload all the buildings in the following list but he said that he needs info on the source of the data (information such as where are these data originally from) and more information on these buildings (Height in Meters, Name of the Street, Number of Floors)

Great News.. emporis.com shows now that Jakarta has 223 buildings... WOWOWWOWOWO

Now there are 238 buildings... what happened?? Did the emporis just put a new Editor in Indonesia?? Cuz since last week, the building number keep on changing, it's going bigger and bigger... that's good tho..
And in Medan they put 2 high rise buildings too which are I believe still under construction.. In Surabaya the number of High Rises changed to 14 it was 10 for like forever, I believe 3-4 of them still under construction.. Sweeettt...

Yo, Asiaboyz, I thikn you're confusing two projects here.
1. Grand Indonesia - this is the Hotel Indonesia redevelopment project - will consist of one 55 storey office tower and 1 40 storey residential tower (there's a thread - check it out!)
2. Plaza Indonesia Phase 2 - the two 47 and 48 storey towers you're referring to.

The two projects are similarly named, and located just across the road from each other..hahaha

Grand Indonesia is under construction.

Plaza Indonesia haven't started construction yet, but it should start in the next few months.

i think Menara 2000 is the building next to the Menara Karya in Jalan Rasuna Said ..

menara kencana was a project proposed before monetary crisis, im not sure if the project is going to resume or not.

I think its safe to say that Menara Kencana should be categorised as "never built"...haven't heard anything about it at all ...

On Pacific place, perhaps you can go to the website wwww.pacificplacejakarta.com and email them to ask...

AsiaBoyz, you asked for feedback, so here's a few corrections:

-Sampoerna Tower --> never built
-Westin Hotel --> approved (note on this one: there are two entries...I suggest u distinguish the current project by naming it "Westin Hotel/Thamrin Nine Residence")
-Conrad Hotel Tower --> never built
-Conrad Office Towers (2) --> never built
-Thamrin Exchange Square Apartment and Hotel Buildi.. --> on hold or never built (the land apparently changed hands and the design will probably change) --> there seems to be a duplication of this project, with the other one called "Thamrin Exchange Square".
-Mega Glodok will only have ONE tower called "The View Executive Residence". I believe its about 35 storeys tall though I'm not sure.
- Kota Kasablanka --> never built
-Menara Kuningan --> Under Construction
-Manhattan Hotel is 120m tall
-Embassy Towers: I don't hear about these recently, they probably should be classified as "never built"
- Menara Karya is scheduled for 2007 completion
- All the "Forum Senayan" buildings have changed names to "Senayan City" - they're all scheduled for 2006 completion
- "Plaza Asia" has changed names to "Plaza ABDA"
- "Office Park E3.3" is now called "Menara Anugrah"

Sasana Adipraja-Indonesian Center is the one locates at the end of Sudirman street, its a government office purposed in 1996 or 1997.

AsiaBoyz, based on what u know, how do u think Jakarta's construction boom compares to KL's, Bangkok's or Manila's?

The number of buildings under construction now in Bangkok is more than Jakarta, and Manila has less buildings under construction now compare to Jakarta. KL is probably about the same as Manila. It's possible that Jakarta will have more high-rise buildings than Metro Manila in the future if Jakarta can continue with this speed of construction.

I think Saigon is catching pretty fast, there are about 150 buildings currently under construction, but most of them are between 10 - 20 storeys height except two or three which are over 40 storeys.
