Project Management and Principal Consultants along with the Client have managed to complete most of the Tendering Process; the goal was to obtain qualified and professional contractors, with competitive prices for the project through standard tendering processes. Final negotiations with shortlisted contractors to execute the construction are going on.

Difaf Mourjan Hotel Construction works will be divided into two phases: The first phase consists of execution, completion, and maintenance of Structural, Architectural, and the first fix of Electromechanical Works.

The expected date to award the job to the winner Contractors for both, the Residential Towers and phase one of Difaf Mourjan Hotel is the 1st of June, 2011. Contractors will commence the execution works immediately.

The project completion expected date is July 2013

Difaf Village project update

The contractor has mobilized on site and is well into the demolition phase of some parts of the existing building as well as the preparations of his site machinery and equipment. Excavations operations have been started and most of the temporary site offices have been built already.

Materials procurement is going on while heavy execution operations are expected to take place within the next two weeks.

I wonder if the new renders will be an addition to the existing hotel building. Can't wait to see those other tall blocks start rising up around it.

no its definetly not cancelled, in fact there working on the hotel as well but you can't tell because they've started on the side that doesn't face the nile.

I managed to take a picture of the construction on the firendship palace hotel, but the guards stopped me from taking more pics. i was only in SAudan for 10 days I got back on Sunday.

not really just some progress on existing towers such as al tadamon, the mushaireb towers oh and the omdurman nile street is virtually complete.
