This is being built in a really shit area. Although there are no major malls currently in the Bekaa, I would not want to go to this one. Considering the location, most people going there will be either Palestinians, or just ignorant people.

You go to that area, and then see if I'm generalizing.

You guys this mall is one of the biggest in the region not just Lebanon. i kinda like how they just didnt focus on the mall building..but included a lake and outdoor dining and entertainment areas..I think its going to do a lot for that area and attract visitors from Syria big time. I think this is right on the new Arab Hwy being constructed. Brilliant location.

The arches are my main issue with it... Arches with this kind of decor are found in malls in Bahrain and what not... not a very Lebanese feel to it at all.

I cannot get myself to believe this was architect designed. there is a budget of 200 million for heavens sake, could they not have commissioned a real architect? rather than designed it themselves on The Sims?

Come on, John. That's very unfair to the Sims!

There is an amazing grandiosity to this project; if you must destroy some of the finest farming land in the middle east by pouring concrete over it, might as well do it big and ugly!
