i did think it would be a good idea to combine some of the sub forums.... but shouldnt there still be a projects and construction section? Where are the construction threads now? Also, what about having an english sub forum still?

The english sub forum was not very popular among french speaking forumers. I liked it.

The english section is now included in the 'bar à vin' section. Dont worry :)

That won't work.
English speaking forumers won't be able to identify easily the threads in English and we'll end up using French instead. Unless a little flag is added to the title. But I don't know how to do that.

The construction threads are in architecture, in this thread you can access them easily :

I know the new forum can be confusing and that things will maybe have to change, but well, it couldn't be perfect in one try :)

As for english threads, they can be posted here in Le Bar à Vin. And we'll be happy to answer any question in english in any thread. :)

well, i quite like the idea fabb is suggesting. Why not introducing a flag next to the title of the thread?

I dunno how to add a flag , but we can add a big ENGLISH at the beginning of the thread title.

We get people in the Dutch section posting English topics sometimes, and by the topic title we can see it's English, in which case it just becomes an English thread among the Dutch ones. No problem. Besides, for international discussions, there is always the world section.

But the Dutch are practically bilingual. They're probably unaware of answering in English when they do.

We are totally bilingual. I don't even remember what my mother tongue is.
