Silversea Cruises became the first cruise line to commit to making a call at the new port, with the 296-passenger Silver Cloud scheduled to visit Banana Coast on Dec. 17, 2014. The port will be open long before that. Michael Greve, president of Global Destinations Development, one of the companies partnering in the port project, said that construction at Banana Coast, which began in August 2011, is now 80% complete, and that the facility is expected to have a soft opening in January. The port is hoping to get big ship commitments as well, and is planning to build a two-berth, post-Panamax pier.

Magnifica noticia. Ya era tiempo que Trujillo tuviese un lugar turistico como el que se esta construyendo. Ojala vengan mas proyectos grandes para continuar con su desarrollo. Felicitaciones!

Qué excelente, leyendo la nota, los visitantes podrán ir al Refugio Guaymoreto hacer kayaking, pueden ir a snorklear a unos cayos que quedan bien cerca de trujillo, de los cuales pocos hondureños han escuchado (un amigo fue y me contó) y también van a poder subir la montaña Capiro y calentura en cuatrimotos y también pueden tomar un avión para ir a las ruinas de copán.

Desde SPS ese viaje a Trujillo vale la Pena ES muy lindo y encantador el pueblito. Muy seguro y su gente muy Educada. Desde esas montanas se ve lo impresionante que ES la Bahia de Trujillo....un entorno natural muy bello....

TRUJILLO.- La primera etapa de lo que será el muelle de terminales de cruceros, en la bahía de Trujillo, departamento de Colón, ya está finalizada, informó el arquitecto Dino Rietti, encargado del diseño y ejecución del proyecto turístico.

El arquitecto dijo que solo faltan algunos mínimos detalles, pero que la obra en sí ya está lista para ponerla a funcionar...

La infraestructura ya está lista y solo falta que los empresarios instalen sus tiendas y comercios en el complejo.

El complejo turístico contará con variados establecimientos comerciales hasta donde los visitantes serán llevados en lanchas y botes.

El costo de la obra es cuatro millones de dólares, sin tomar en cuenta el valor del terreno.
