poller1 September 14th, 2004, 12:00 PM Sorry, didn't read the first post properly... but
'Being fascinated' by doesn't mean 'never have been there'.
I mean: I've been to Amsterdam, Rome... but only couple of days, in a defined time of the year... that's why the cities still fascinate me: I like to know them better, just because the short visits only showed me details which fascinated me...

philadweller September 14th, 2004, 04:50 PM I am from NYC and live 1.5 hours away. It never ceases to fascinate me even though I know it like the back of my hand. I wish I had never been there, the adrenaline rush for a first time visitor must be stellar. Madrid and Barcelona
are up there too but I've been to both. I can't wait to return. I dream of retiring there.
My initial request was for cities that people have never been to but hold a burning curiosity for.
Cairo is so exotic to me. Lagos? Hmm sounds like absolute chaos. Not the most friendly city out there.

A42251 September 15th, 2004, 07:02 AM Tokyo fascinates me because I keep hearing how big it is and I have never been there.
My most fascinating city, however, is definitely New York. I have been to many great cities around the world, but none of them struck me the way Manhattan continues to do each and every time I go back there.
