Can someone tell me how many % of the lands in Singapore are urbanized?

really? but when you look from above it looks somewhat rural! the north that is. let me try to remember what i read... 20% for roads, 20% for housing, 10% for recreation, and... industrial commercial and essential utilities i dunno.

would reservoirs and their surrounding forest-parks be considered developed?

Um, no.

About 37% or so are forest reserves, parkland, open fields, undeveloped areas and military training areas.

Okay.Let me correct myself.

About 37% or so are forest reserves, undeveloped areas and military training areas.
19% is parkland and recreational area.

The rest is built-up. :)

I came across the following info, which is mostly taken from the Singapore Facts and Pictures yearbook. Given that today's land area is 697.1 sq km, the data is apparantly quite out-dated! :D

SINGAPORE - Land use
Total land area (main and offshore islets): 618.1 sq. km
Built-up areas (including new industrial sites): 291.7
Farm holding areas (of licensed farms, excluding land occupied by pure rubber and coconut plantations): 64.3 sq. km
Forest: 28.6 sq. km
Marsh and tidal waste: 21.1 sq. km
Others (inland waters, open spaces, Public Gardens, Cemeteries, non-built-up areas in military establishments, quarries, rubber and coconut plantations, and unused land): 212.4 Sq. km

Ermm....the data will usually include those nontheless...whether they are in use or not! :D

Remember that it is a strictly topographic survey!
