On Sunday I took off on the skywave for another trip along the Japan sea.The original plan was to head down to the onsen town of Katsura in Wakayama prefecture on the Pacific ocean.Unfortunately the rain bucketed down, forcing me to make a detour to the Japan sea in serach of the good weather.

This time Fukui prefecture was the goal.On the map you can see it clearly posted. Its only about 200 Kms from Osaka.Convinient for a day trip.

Tomb stones in the quiet rural village of Kaminaka about 20km inland from the coast

Kaminaka. Not quite touristy.More local.A real portrait of rural Japanese life

Yeah.Real slow

Gateway to the local temple

A view of the village from higher ground. The surrounding mountains really tipify your typical Japanese rural setting

The local temple

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/Nickkyobashi/Weekend%201/Fukui020.jpg

Its customary to wash your hands before entering any temple or Shrine.here is a more unique example of how its done

The back alleys are pretty dangerous in Kaminaka

These two were out there. They were speaking a dilect of Japanese ive never herd of.They sounded more like Beaker and that other puppet scientist from the Muppet Show.

A couple of locals going about some Sunday work

My bike is in the foreground.Sexy and black. But the true beast of pleasure is that Honda Goldwing behind it.Its the only bike I would turely give up my skywave for.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/Nickkyobashi/Weekend%201/Fukui035.jpg

I love my skywave but the Goldwing is a cut above.Look at it.Its HUGE!!!!!!!!!

lovely photos as usual

to be honest I much prefer your skywave to that goldwing

how is the new 400cc model pulling even better than the last model

If I had to choose in those photos I would go for your skywave because it looks so modern and more urban

the goldwing is too american and tacky

bet your skywave makes a nicer sound than the goldwing bubbleing and couching loudly

stick with the ultimate bike....

Looks slick in black too

the skywave

Hahahahah.Funny you said that. Both bikes have a nice humming sound. The 400cc model is enough power and preforms much better in 100km/h to 150 range. The old 250 struggled a bit over 110km/h

I like both. But when it comes to Comfort I will always go the big scooters. When you ride one all day and get off.It feels like you have been sitting on a sofa all day.

The skywave and other big scooters look very modern and stremelined. For that reason also, they appeal to me

When you ask me what you see in the those big scooters.Just look at it.It is one of the sexiest machines ive ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
