View Full Version : Can someone translate these 3 simple words? Centrifuge September 15th, 2004, 06:19 AM Could some kind person translate the words/letters in the following picture? It's from the excellent Korean movie "OldBoy"... but its meaning wasn't translated! I would appreciate it! :D On the picture you posted, each of the three characters corresponds to a syllable: the first one is "Oh", the second "Dae", and the third is hard to read but probably "Su". All together: "Oh Dae-Su". I think. I didn't know Oldboy was released in a foreign country yet? Anyhow, I was really really shocked (in a pleasant way) after seeing this moive. To be honest, I heard about it through friends... discovered that some hollywood company had bought the "rights" to the film, which meant it is very difficult for us here to get now (coz some hollywood exec. wants to insure that I watch HIS remake and not the classic original)... so I trawled the darkest depths of the Internet, found a copy and downloaded it. :eek2: I must say though, until I saw this film, I had never had an interest in watching "foreign", non-english films... Now I can't wait to see more, and Korean films in particular! :D Know any good distributors? |
