Oliver, as for the pollution in Beijing wise, I have to say Beijing is doing ALOT in cleaning up its air! For all 8 days when I was there, the air was extremely fresh and clear (unlike the smell of smoke one would whiff a year ago), nearly every major road and expressways are planted with trees and it makes Beijing look Great!!! Blue skies on all 8 daysand its amazing! Great job Beijing and i hope it stays this way:):):banana::cheers:

Wow ... how u guys manage to take such a clear pic of beijing?

Was there end of april and it was so hot already ... also the foggy sky and the pollution is still there ....

but i enjoy my stay in beijing in overall!! i stayed over in my friends house at 东风家园 outside the 4th ring road.

It was quite convinience to take the public transport in Beijing!! at least i never 迷路 even taking bus .. incl a trip on 919 bus to 长城！then enjoying coffee in Starbuck before catching the last bus of 919 :P

the place that i like most is ... Four Season Mall in New CBD (Fuxingmen area if not mistaken), Silk Market (Si Hui area if not mistaken), & Xi Dan

oh and also .... 北京首都机场！it's very biggg and modern.

Nice; that would be an "interesting" place to live in. Seriously, China's getting so much cutting edge design without much of the drawbacks (desolate plazas, empty pathways, little retail) mostly due to the huge population and desire for these designs. Simply amazing!

It looks like paper! I wonder how they tweaks the iron/steel exterior, looks like it is a difficult job to do!

This building is near Jinbao Jie. The hotel I stayed last time was just around the corner.

I think it's just some "skin" over a commieblock, it looks ok and shows Beijing is daring and provocative in modern architecture, unlike almost all ancient cities. Of course, CCTV looks much better!

That's a very interesting facade. It's even more dynamic than the Water Cube, but I like the Water Cube much more.

It's like that extrusion slammed into the building and it caused ripple effects. Very cool. :)

Wow, from far away I thought that building was under construction.

Those buildings really fit with the landscape and atmosphere.
