It's mostly from Bristol Street above (and one zoom in from Highgate Park).

I thought Trelick Tower and the Shakespeare towers in London took that title.

Hasn't Glasgow still got about 20 blocks as tall or taller?

Glasgow's tallest flats are approximately 90.8 metres, the red road flats are between 79-89m but thier of similar height to our Sentinels. When I was in Glasgow back in 2004 before joining here, I was amazed at how tall most of the city's flats were compared to our own and the place was scattered with them on almost every corner. But plenty of grand buildings at the same time too.

Yeah in the 1960s and 70s, Glasgow had a massive drive to put up tall tower blocks whereas Birmingham moved towards shorter buildings. Birmingham tried to come up with a universal construction technique which made overall construction and delivery cheaper and faster. Sadly, the quality pretty much went out the window with it.

Why did they turn the lights off at the top for or replace the bulbs ? (bloody cheapskates)

The light did look terrible as they weren't maintained, same goes for Beetham Tower, all the lights are different shades and some don't work, very cheap.

Orion also turn off 3 of the LED strips on the side, keeping on one blue one.

Yes, the last time it was lit was a while ago. There was an old image shown on the MOD website just last week and only when I saw that pic did I remember the building was green at night.

The revamped Pritchett Tower as well as the cricket towers use those cool led lights at the top - the Sentinels should have them while the HCT should use strip lighting like the Cube.

Quite a lot of the tower blocks that have been refurbed lately are having the LED strip lighting around the top, the blocks in Turves Green have got Green ones around the top of them and one strip coming down the side of the building to ground level and I think some in Newtown have Blue ones?

I'm surprised that the civic close blocks ain't lit up.
