I think the forum index need to re-organize like this:

local forums:

North Am
OZ
Asian
Latin
M-E
Euroscrapers

and then, inside Euroscrapers:
Local discussions:
Scandinavian, Holland, spanish, Poland, italian, UK, Portugal, french, etc., just like in North America with subforums inside subforum...

Most part of the current structure is based on activity, not on political or geographical criteria.

Please keep the UK section separate.

The guy who asked the question says he lives in "Valencia, EU". He obviously has a political agenda. People like him like to pretend that the loathsome EU and Europe are the same thing, but they are not.

Philip: I've "Valencia, EU", because I live in Valencia that is part of EU, what's the problem!? but that's not the point, UK is Europe, Russia is into Euroscrapers, but it's not EU, east europe is inside Euroscrapers, but not all is EU.... do you understand me?
I saw: french forum: 655 therads, outside Euro forums.... eastern Europe, 640 but inside Euroforums... USforum, 1300+ threads, inside NorthAm forums.... and I didn't see the point of this separation, I thought the organisation was:
general/world > continent/subcontinent > states > regions
but if Jan wants it like this, for me it's ok.

I don't know why you want UK secton separate, UK is Europe, isn't it?

Because we're the best of the subforums.

We're so good that we deserve our own separate section. Simple as that really.

maybe we can have a 'pan-germanic heritage forum' (for uk, holland, germany etc), a latin forum for spain, portugal, italy, france :D and a slav forum for serbia, croatia etc lol

Never!, UK must remain separate forever. :jk:

Jesus mate, now that's a political statement from you if there ever was one.

He says he lives in the EU and he does.

In fact, whether you like it or not, you live in the EU as well. The fact you don't have that under your avatar is your very own political statement. Nothing is wrong with that, and neither his his point of view.

I agree wholeheartedly with Sensenick's proposal. Why is the French forum, for instance, separate from Euroscrapers, when the Eastern Europeans are more active than the French? It shouldn't be about activity, it should be about making the forum easier to navigate by being organised geographically.

France, is only a country, eastern european are many countries, is stupid, the forum is very well organized

The way that these forums are arranged are a relic of the days before SSC existed.

Pre-September 2002, there was no integration between the forums - the regional forums were totally seperate from each other. (Most of) The ones that happen to be on the main page are the regions that had independent forums before the giant restructure.

Sensenick. Do you think all the people are posting now into the spanish forum speak english? I hardly can do it!. I mean. Northamericans speak english, no matter where they come. that's pretty different here. Only Spain's four official languages whith their sub-forums... It would be fantastic all Europe speaking the same.. but that's only a wish.
Anyway, thanks for let me in and sorry for my fortyagedrustyenglish!

@maple: I'm not saying spanish forumers must learn english, I'm only asking for a logical re-organization, only this change:

continent -> country -> regions

No sé si t'he entés, però jo volia només una organització clara, si França i europa de l'est estàn dins de Euroscrapers; UK, Espanya, etc, també, però sense canviar res.

We had a poll on the French forum not a long time ago on this. And we decided to stay apart.

It's not like you have a choice! And it's about time that the German and Austrian forums merged. :D

I like the conveniance of the UK forum being on the main front page in BIG LETTERS. It makes me feel important.

I'd always thought the French forum wasn't just France but French speaking countries - or am I mistaken?

True, that's implied in the title, Englishman. But so far it's more a matter of wishful thinking.

Coming from a rabid anti-european who believes almost anything european must be some evil plot to take us over by stealth. The continentals do no sit around a dark smoky room plotting on how they can take us over.

Good lord put the daily mail down for second!!!!

Keep us seperate. We love Europe, we really do, but having British people as moderators (hence no censorship for sillyness sake) is a Godsend for us.

I agree with my friend sense cause it 'd be all europe united and it´d be better for searching info and compare about eurocities(from ireland to istambul or moscow). But on the other hand there are almost 500 mill people speaking spanish around the world and being separated is a great and very goog visible gate for many people who want to post and read in spanish

But you just need to go to the frontpage to see the link for the UK Forums. Why can't you just do that? We've had trouble in the past with American/European mods coming over and locking/deleting threads and censoring people. That's why we don't want to be grouped with any other sub groups. Our mods know British humour etc and don't over react to situations, unlike other foreign mods who just don't understand the UK humour.

which Euromod was that ?
I do support Sensenicks idea.
The European section is the only divided one...

I thought that the French forum wasn't just for France, with the name "Forum Gratte-ciel Francophone" I assumed that meant French speaking which should mean that the forum includes places like Quebec and a lot of the North and West African countries.

Relax, De Snor!

I believe the incidents dgnr8 refers to involved NA staff rather than Euromods. :)
