Old news (last year), but I couldnt find any other suitable thread.

The municipality of Tjörn on the west coast of Sweden approved the new residental hub project on the island of Mossholmen last year, the 17th of May 2010. The project has been waiting approval for over 5 years, and is clearly one of the most interesting things going on in this part of Sweden.

What makes this project especially interesting is the plan of building a central high-rise tower in the middle of the residental hub, rising 14+ floors.

Detaljplan Mossholmens marina klar

So far, construction has not yet started. Updates will be posted as the demolishing process of the old water tank begins.

Amazing that it got approved! I never would have thought that in an area like that just by the water. Would be really great if someone had any more information indeed? Perhaps more renders of what the highrise will look like? Thanks for posting! :)

I wish I had more renders, but they seem extremely rare...

There is, however, a detailed PDF-file with more in-depth information about the environmental issues regarding the project here ---> www.tjorn.se/download/18.../Miljökonsekvensbeskrivning.pdf

I'm afraid the pdf link doesn't work.
