Hi everyone,
I'm new here and have already a question, Hope it is not too ennoying question, since this has been asked before i'm sure.

I will be hongkong for a while and want to know if the prices of camera's and lenses are still substatially lower than the prices in europe. The few hong kong based webshops i could find, it seems that the prices are the same or even sometimes higher than where i live ( netherlands). This

Does anybody know the price difference? should i just buy my stuff here or wait untill i'm there?
Is there a online shop with reasonable prices i could go to and check the prices?

I want to buy the canon 70-200mm is for starters and maybe a few other things like the canon 5d markll.

Now i'm at if any advice about where to go "when i'm there" to find unusual electronic gadgets, would be also greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

A couple of choices in Mongkok :

1. DCFever

http://www.dcfever.com/shop/images/mongkok02.gif

2. Wing Shing Photo

http://www.wingshingphoto.com/

They're both within walking distance of each other. Then you can visit the typical electronics shops for price comparisons such as Fortress, Broadway, Gome, etc.

Well, the Made in Japan gear is getting more expensive as stock is low following the earthquake and the yen has strengthened.
