I was walking in Bayfront and I noticed that the old building at 330 Biscayne is abandoned, so isearched it and found an emporis entry stating it was 50 floors but unbuilt. I couldn't find anything on here about it. It and the nearby Continental Hotel building seem prime for demolition.

330 Biscayne is where Empire World Towers was supposed to be. Two 110-story condo towers that never got off the ground.

What! lol are you serious. I thought those were supossed to be farther north in like Edgewater or something. Then why does Emporis say 50 floors? Both of those buildings look ready for demo. Look at the deterioration on the hidden side of the Bayside Continental. There are lots of little old buildings in that area.

Whatever gave you that idea? That would have put them directly in line with MIA runways, which would have never been allowed.

Just seemed like the renders, it's been a long time since I've seen them, showed them a ways out of the downtown area, standing all by themselves.

Yeah it's just to the north of this one in the next block on Biscayne, also pretty dumpy for Bayfront. I can't believe more of Bayfront didn't get a facelift in the boom. It basically got completely avoided other than 50 Biscayne, which both blocks poor old SunTrust and makes OBT look small.
