Dubai-Lover September 17th, 2004, 10:27 PM love it! not so narrow as many other airports! very futuristic! love the 4th pic!
seems to be nicely illuminated at night.
fk310 September 17th, 2004, 10:31 PM looks like a typical Chinese airport.
DrJoe September 18th, 2004, 01:55 AM like the outside, not a big fan of the inside, though its still nice.
kikyurazz September 18th, 2004, 02:44 AM ahh I love the sight of glass.
ShayPlan September 18th, 2004, 05:11 AM Nice pictures. But just curious how far it is from Hong Kong? I'm sure the future of this airport may be of a 'secondary port of entry'.
Bahraini Spirit September 18th, 2004, 10:21 AM thats a stunning airport, hopefully it can become a major chinese airport, thats what every chinese city is striving to do. I like the internal competition.
SeeMacau September 19th, 2004, 02:00 AM The airport looks really good !!
an architect May 6th, 2005, 04:22 PM the design of Guangzhou's airport is mediocre. and that's putting it mildly. I guess it's probably because it's built on the cheap.
Ashok May 6th, 2005, 06:32 PM wow, thats looks really nice !
Urban Dave May 6th, 2005, 07:07 PM
Jasonhouse May 6th, 2005, 08:14 PM Wrong forum.
Zaqattaq May 6th, 2005, 08:19 PM Amazing looking, great for Canton and China Southern
kiretoce May 6th, 2005, 09:59 PM Nice looking airport, not much greenery though. :)
raymond_tung88 May 6th, 2005, 10:15 PM Nice looking airport, not much greenery though. :)
LOL... what do you expect? Its an airport where people go on planes to go to different places. Not a park where people like to stroll and admire nature's beauty... btw, there may be some greenery put in when all the plans for the Baiyuan Airport are done.
mike_feng90 May 6th, 2005, 10:47 PM I disagree with the commentthe design of Guangzhou's airport is mediocre. and that's putting it mildly. I guess it's probably because it's built on the cheap.

Its one of the best airports i have been to, its clean and it looks good.. I cant see anything really bad with it, if you compare it with charles de gaulle its like arriving in paradise... At least thats what i think!
FM 2258 May 6th, 2005, 10:57 PM This is an awesome looking airport. I haven't been to Guangzhou before but just looking at the pictures, they have a state of the art facility.
mike_feng90 May 7th, 2005, 12:19 AM although this is unrelated, but still regarding to GUangzhou baiyun Int airport, im surprised since August 5th, 2004 that their site @ www. baiyunairport.com dosent work if you search for flight inforamtion!!!
unimetro May 9th, 2005, 05:43 AM the design of Guangzhou's airport is mediocre. and that's putting it mildly. I guess it's probably because it's built on the cheap.
Please check the information carefully. This new airport cost up to more than 2 billion us dollars.

Hitesh May 11th, 2005, 07:27 PM thats really sexy.
were these pictures taken before it officially opened?
Nick in Atlanta May 12th, 2005, 12:54 AM Is there a map of the terminal and the gates? Will it have concourses? How many? How many gates will there be? How many runways? How many passengers will it be able to handle when it opens?
soulkorea May 12th, 2005, 05:08 AM beautiful!!!
I have been to Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing, but not yet to Guangzhou. Must visit it soon.
Thanks for great pictures.
mic of Orion May 12th, 2005, 05:15 AM looks very impresive
lazar22b May 12th, 2005, 07:00 AM :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:
WOW, nice freaking airport!!
absent-minded May 15th, 2005, 10:59 AM the new Guangzhou Airport is huge and beautiful. if its services are as great as the facility itself looks (has anyone used it?), this terminal would surely be in the same league as HKG and SIN and the other top tens...
zergcerebrates May 15th, 2005, 11:14 AM While I was vacationing in HK past december I went to Guangzhou on purpose just to see the new airport and it was awesome. The interior materials are really nice and the interior space is just amazing. The high roof was my favorite its very airy and comfortable.
mike_feng90 February 17th, 2006, 04:44 AM does anyone have any more photos of this airport? a shame that i couldnt go through it last time even when it was opened.
Kai Tak February 17th, 2006, 07:25 AM Wow, 8 months in storage and we bring it back! That's gotta be some kind of record...
I too would like some pics please! :)
