^^No not just Iraqi celebrities, the only one elusive mentioned was Shatha Hassoun the rest were Lebanese lol, there seems to be a lot of Persian concerts in Erbil, i didn't know that's pretty cool. Post more if you know of any, i don't know much Persian musicians actually only some Arab ones.

I would however love to see international stars holding concerts in Iraq, that would be awesome!

There were supposed to be more concerts by Iranian singers but Iran closed their borders whenever the singers agreed to come lol, and since about 50% of the people that came to the concerts came from Iran some were put off lol, also alot of Kurds speak farsi, one becuase of the millions of Kurds that fled to Iran and two becuase it's close to Kurdish.

P.S: not all are Persian ;) for example jamshid is a Kurd.

Haha, when they realised that just closing borders was not enough becuase typical of Iranians to still find a way to get in, they pretended to go on a pilgrimage to the south lol, then the Iranian consulate demanded to ban Iranian concerts lol.

Ah you misunderstood :D the singers live in the west so for them it's easy to go to Erbil, the people that pretended to go on a pilgrimage are Iranians from Iran as Iran did not allow it.

Well if an Iranian singer from Iran comes to erbil and sings in an inappropriate way, I doubt they'd go back to Iran  but yeah the problem is Iran does not want it's citizens listening to western Iranian songs, something I find weird becuase it's widely available on satellite T.V (another thing banned in Iran) and the internet.

Assi Al Helani concert in Baghdad

Lebanese singer Assi Al Helani will travel to Baghdad to hold his first concert there on June 2, 2011.

"Elnashra.com" reports the concert will be held at the Lebanese Family Club Hall.

This is considered Al Helani's first visit to Iraq, and he is looking forward to meeting his Iraqi fans.

Al Helani takes part in the concert along with Iraqi singer Mohamed Abdel Jabar, and the event will be hosted by Omar Hadi.

Assi Al Helani reportedly signed on to star in the musical play "Salaheldine Al Ayoubi" written and directed by Farid and Maher Al Sabbagh, and will be performed at the Baalbek Festival in July 2011.

Don't think she's ever going to be coming back to Iraq though. Kha6iya.

Nancy Ajram breaks down in tears at Iraq concert

Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram broke in hysterical tears during her recent concert in Irbil Iraq, after the audience forced themselves on stage and surrounded her from all sides. The singer became very scared during the concert, which did not go according to plans.

What was considered to be very unusual during the incident is the fact that the security men assigned to protect Nancy from being attacked by fans also turned into fans and became preoccupied with trying to take pictures with her neglecting their assigned duties.

This neglect of the security men led the audience to go on stage knowing they would not be stopped. At this point, Nancy’s business manager Jiji Lamara, the organizer of the event and the band played the role of the security men and tried to protect the singer from being hurt and toppled by fans.

Nancy became terrified and began crying hysterically and as a result of the crowds of people pushing towards her was injured in her foot.

It took Nancy over 15 minutes to get to her private car and flee the scene. Once she was able to escape, Nancy packed her bags and immediately left to go back home.

Since I'm a fan of Nancy Ajram.. I'm going to add some stuff about her concert in Erbil

The Arab-Lebanese superstar, Nancy Ajram will perform for the first time in Iraq in a large concert held in Erbil, Kurdistan Region on December 22. The original date was planned for December 9, but it was postponed for unknown reasons; The organizers of the concert, Clue, provided iErbil with the new details.

Furthermore, Nancy is currently busy recording her first song in the Iraqi Arabic dialect ("Dego Al'a Al Khashab" - Knock on the Wood) - a traditional song. She hopes to perform the song with the famous Iraqi artist Hatem al-Iraqi on stage.
"It was always a dream of mine to sing in the beautiful Iraqi accent. The Iraqi accent has always impressed me," she says.
It's believed the organizers of the concert have paid Nancy Ajram around $140,000 to perform a few songs in Erbil.

And this is what happened...

Good that Erbil is becoming a musical hub of Iraq, awesome! I think i would actaully go there if Ragheb Alama was performing, not that much into other Arabic singers. Oh and Haifa Wehbe for laughs.

Shes already married. And one of the main reasons why she looks healthier now and has bigger prettier breasts... I think her blood circulation is also good. Marriage has its own positives u know. Ofc, Nancy always had sex but marriage sex is healthier and mind comforting.

I should do my own DR. PHIL show..

and you've been married how long?

Marriage sex is probably boring. I get bored of a woman after the fourth or fifth time. After that, it just feels like a chore.

Its obvious the guy isnt religious, and he just uses this made up "mut3a" law for his mind to sub conciously think thats something ok to do.

When I was Muslim I used to do mut3a for one-night stands. Now that I'm not, it's hard for me to believe how ridiculous I was being. It's an insult to marriage to call mut3a marriage. I do actually believe in marriage and hope to be married one day, but mut3a is nothing more than a hack job when religious founders were forced to face the reality that people will have sex whether you make it a sin or not.

So your suggesting that it's ok to just have sex outside of a contract? Well muta has its limits as well, you can't have sex with a married woman, you can't have sex with blood relatives....

Zina includes incest (sleeping with woman and her daughter at different times...), having sex with married woman...

It's basically a way of organizing and limiting sex for pleasure, since it's extremely hard to control our natural instinct, It's better to control sexual relations than to forbid and punish. I see the wisdom in it but I guess not everyone does. Besides, It affects us youngsters in the west directly.

i suppose religious edicts are needed if you're too retarded to have your own moral compass and sense of logic. so its certainly needed... without it people would be raping and cannibalising on the streets!

^^ yeah like in those evil western societies, hell, without mut3a they might even become homosexuals, lol.

problem is, those who justify/use mut3a pretend to be religious, yet at the same time commit a sin and try to fool their god that it wasnt, lol. you either believe in something or you dont, there's no grey are, you cant marry someone then divorce them the next day week. its like asking god for his blessing every time you wanna hook up. besides, basrawii, i thought you werent religious, whats with the contradictions.

exactly, it's a farce.

Rule: mut3a is only allowed with Muslim women or ahlul kitab. - often ignored (most young Europeans have no religious beliefs - coming from a country with Christian history means jack).

Rule: Virgin girls need their fathers' permission - I'd love to meet the person who tried this with an Iraq :D This rule is always ignored.

Rule: entering places of sin (pubs, bars, nightclubs) is forbidden, and using haram to gain halal (mut3a) is forbidden - often ignored.

Rule: flirting with members of the opposite sex if you are not married. - No one takes this seriously, everyone flirts, EVERYONE.

Islamically, after you've had intercourse with the mother, her daughter becomes like your daughter, in that you are not permitted relations with her, and she doesn't have to wear hijab in front of you. However, other stuff such as inheritance don't extend.

Spin cycle you got a point in your last point. But the fact that it's abused doesn't make the original rule forbidden.

Culture plays a role as well.
"غيرة" over their sister/daughters/mothers is almost non existent.
This exists with Arabs regardless of their religions/background...

Tunisian singer Emel Mathlouthi (R) sings during her concert in Baghdad, July 3, 2012. Attacks on art in Tunisia by Salafi Islamists are mainly driven by frustration over the injustices of daily life in the North African country rather than pure religious ideology, a Tunisian revolutionary singer said.
