Hi friends!!!

I am Pedro, from spanish forum.

I love trains and subways, and my main hobby is to collect metro maps. I have this hobby since 10 years ago, and I normally collect all the maps of Madrid, and the maps of the cities that I visit. (these free public transport maps that you can get in the stations, about subways, trams, suburban trains.., I mean, not scaned maps, only small pocket maps, fisical and original maps that authorities issue free at the stations).

I would be very glad if some of you have the same hobby and want to share by POSTmail the maps of our cities (or other cities of course).
I could send maps of Madrid (in spanish and english!!), and the repeated maps of other cities. Soon I will go to Japan, so I will get lots of maps of the japanese cities subways to send them.

If you know people interested in share transport maps by post, let them know that Pedro from Spain is interesting in it.

Thanks a lot in advance! and best regards for all of you!

Au revoir!

Pedro

If there is someone interesting in it: private message or metrodemadrid@hotmail.com

I love the Paris metro map!!!!! Itīs fabulous!, Itīs smaller than Madrid network but it has got more stations and Lines (14 vs 12).

Btw: if there is somebody who has the pleasure to send these maps to me by post, I would be very glad (the small pocket maps). I donīt care the city, if the map is about tram and metro network ;)

I would send by post some maps about Madrid Metro as well.

thanks!

Hi, Spastik!
I have read your private message now, excuse me for the delay.
I can give you the maps in Naples (map of the subway 2004 and of the 2011 future subway).
I don't currently have the map of the subway in Palermo (in construction). I have only a map of the connection subway between Palermo and the airport. In the map you will find some stations of the subway.
In the Italian forum I have built the thread on the city of napoli with so many photos of the stations of the subway.
Ciao!:)

I love the Paris metro map!!!!! Itīs fabulous!, Itīs smaller than Madrid network but it has got more stations and Lines (14 vs 12).At the opposite of most of world subways where lines cross the center to go from one suburb to another (Madrid/London), there are two levels of suways in Paris. It's a bit like the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn in Berlin if you like. Here's how it works :
- There is the Central network of 16 lines (14 main and 2 smaller) which doesn't go into the suburbs.
- And there is a Metropolitan network of 5 lines, the RER. The RER is a hybrid system since it's a real underground subway on the whole central zone and then it becomes an aerial subway once we reach the suburbs. Well our lines of RER are what is called traditionally a subway in cities like Madrid. The only difference is that the RER goes a lot deeper in the suburbs and becomes really a suburban trains...

Here are pictures and a map of the RER network so that you can see how it looks like :

Hi guys.
I think,Milan future'subway map is very interesting because it's very usefull and i guess it will resolve a lot of transportation problems as:we have so many queue car everywhere in Milan, because Milan is a "small" area with too much people.
You can see it in the italian forum(Milano 2004-Milano 2008)
Sorry for my incompetence with computers. ;)
