The design is, put simply, shit-house! They are doing a feature of this development on the RealEstate Program on Saturday morning, 9:00am. I think they have a close affiliation with the MarkHay RealEstate Company.

its by the same developer as the kingstone on hay

the only good thing about the development is its selling well

Is it just me or is this building totally ugly? Why don't they just rebuild Dunlop House? Or at least build in the same style as the old building. It would fit the area so much better and be much nicer I think.

i found an article yesterday that was several month old and it said 70 units had sold, so i would say it would almost be sold out by now. this is great news as it shows developers that theres strong demand in the westend of the CBD, hopefully we will see a major development on the syneregy site [gobbles nightclub site]

i got a thing in the mail about this project, and also kingstone aswell when that was being marketed, it was random marketing, good to see them going to those efforts because its resulted in strong sales

there are 2 cores, for this project for some reason, and its still setting whipping pace, with the cores already 3 floors high

they have done 3 floors now and the cores are about 4-5 levels, the underground carpark is almost done, and pulse next door is well into construction with concrete pours today

Another reason why Stratton is going to look good is because of it's proximity to the Telstra box. Any building next to that is gotta look pretty plus due to the location being of the Trc, it will stand out nicely expecially as depicted in that shot on the freeway by Damien.

cores have grown again and its starting to have quite abit of impact its almost as tall as the 10 level wilson carpark across the road and has a big impact from the top floor of the his magesties carpark

Core boxes are still on. I would estimate (and hope for) another 3 rises. Should then have a very nice impact. Already clearly visible driving down to the City from King's park. Skyline depth!

it's amazing how this building is making such an impact with such limited height and at the same time you can't see it from most angles let alone from kingspark or from the south.

its making an impact from the leederville overpass too [links the transit station to oxford street]

one thing that perth lacks is enough lights.. like billboards and signs on the buildings.. now that the hartleys and the citibank signs are gone it needs a few more...

citibank moved to chancery hse and took the lights with them but because of the lack of height, they are hardy visible. i too would love to see more lights in the cbd.

oh fuck.... so the only talls with signs on will be Allendale sq, st martins tower and bankwest

the new citibank building is so small no one can see it... i think the council should relax their policy on signs and allow companies to pay for advertising on the building... i dont want it to turn into hong kong but it does give the city more class, especially when people can see international companies having their logo on the towers...

the city of perth have a new sign policy, im pretty sure its progressive towards signs, though dont expect las vegas and times squared styled as they arn't allowd signs to be to stimulating as it will distract drivers etc.. and the policy makes sure ugly scafolding and stuff doesen't hold up the sign. you can read the policy on the cities website www.perth.wa.gov.au

It would be great to see this just the beginning of development in this part of town. There are many of potential sites there with non heritage listed and vacant blocks and then we are still waiting on what is eventually to happen with the PEC car park areas.

facade is partly revealed... cant make a judgement yet.. but it isnt as yellowish as I expected...... but its going to be pretty concretey. :D even the top balcony (or what i could see) seemed pretty bland aswell.... i think its going to be a pretty bland addition but welcome nonetheless... hopefully as the area bulks up it wont be as obvious :D

from the start we thought it was bloody ugly so in the final product can only re-afirm that or surprise us.....

It'd be great if they knocked down that fucking ugly telstra building, same problem with the western power on the other side. Knock both of them down and build 1 tower with there combined heights.

I guess there isn't much hope of Telstra ever being converted into an apartment bulding,or being refurbished to a degree where it is nice to look at.
Can't say I'm dissapointed with the look of this project so far,though.
