OK so now the Chicago pics
333 Wacker Building, one of my fav in the city
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/3041/chi1.jpg
333 again, and again, and a new tower going up next to it
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/5581/chi7.jpg
This one looks like a modern Park Row building to me, I wonder if that was the inspiration for the design, it looks way too similar
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/5656/chi18.jpg
Water Tower
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/888/chi3.jpg
The chicago zoo, guess what the gorilla is eating?? No guess, its brown, smells, and came from her baby's bottom, yeah gross huh
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/9306/chi4.jpg
Sears - just massive, still impressive, still an icon, love this building
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/6554/chi5.jpg
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/949/chi19.jpg
Water Tower place
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/4103/chi20.jpg
For those of us old enough, Adventures in Babysitting building LOL
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/6887/chi6.jpg
A good shot from a river boat tour of a bunch of scrapers
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/8412/chi10.jpg
More pics from the river
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/8486/chi11.jpg
Look at the windows on this building, apparently they were made to be all non-uniform in shape, interesting
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/8861/chi12.jpg
I liked how the building in from of Sears almost looks part of it
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/9096/chi15.jpg
marina up
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/5413/chi17.jpg
I am running out of smart captions, the builing on the right (seen better in next pic), in the crown, housed a speakeasy during prohibition, or so I was told
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/4575/chi16.jpg
********** MILLENIUM PARK **********
This is really kinda disgusting, but cool, there was this one guy taking an upclose picture of the thing, and did not realize it spewed out water and got all wet, kind of amusing
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/2968/chi2.jpg
They told us the lines in the ball are getting smoothed out next week, so a rare pic I guess
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/7761/chi8.jpg
I was not a huge fan of the park, that was until I saw it, it is really cool, and impressive, the mercury ball as I call it is HUGE!
--- The two buildings in the back look very NYC to me, the one on the right looks like 1 Wall Street to me, I think Irving Trust, and the one on the left, obviously a van der Rohe very international style
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/9693/chi9.jpg
The ball again
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/2558/chi13.jpg
There goes that new van again, um I mean ball again
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/8238/chi14.jpg
And last, lookin up through the ball from under neath
http://img13.exs.cx/img13/8157/chi21.jpg
Whew -- OK, I am done
