elusive April 27th, 2011, 03:33 PM very good initiative! it should be a yearly thing...like clean up baghdad day or something
sheytanElKebir April 27th, 2011, 03:39 PM i like the idea of communities taking care of the cleanliness of their home towns. I wish it extended to something like "beautification by painting the walls of their houses and public buildings, filling holes in the streets and planting trees...
however street cleaning really should be a DAILY thing not an annual event!
BigDreamer April 27th, 2011, 03:43 PM ^^ i remember they had "planting flowers" day (instead of bombs) back in 2006.. was a nice idea
haiderpass April 27th, 2011, 04:13 PM great idea, if you want to get something done, its best to do it yourself :)

Hahaha definentely agree!!
sheytanElKebir August 24th, 2011, 05:37 PM well. as you all know the rubbish collection contract for baghdad was given to Turkish Company AKDENIZ and their new collection trucks are plying the streets of baghdad nowadays. THey are even issuing new rubbish bins with akdeniz logos instead of baghdad municipality logo like the old rubbish bins.
I took this pic of one of their new rubbish collection points next to the canal road in East Baghdad (habibiyah).
