will also be an admirable place when freedom tower and all the other new towers there will be finished
visited some other parks too but i know too less to give a real statement, i guess there are some hot tips that many people from outside the city or from abroad don't know

1. washington square
2. prospect park
3. bryant park

I like certain parts of central park.. but i love these threee simply for sentimental reasons.... washington square, hung out in as a kid, live near, take my dogs to..Prospect park.. first kiss., Bryant park, my dad worked around, we went there for lunch when i was a kid .

I went to the Bronx today near the Yankee stadium and there was a park, Joyce Kilmer I believe was the name and I really liked it.
But I have to say it's Central park.

Battery Park. I remember all the guys with the breifcases selling stuff saying "five dolla five dolla I give you nice watch" but you bargain with him and he sells it for 50 cents. It's been a good 3 years since I went there though, is it still like that?

Central Park is in a league of it's own.

I like Bryants statue/monument in Byrant. Im looking forward to the new park in Hanover sqaure for the British 9-11 victims, that place was ugly.

Battery: Countless things to do there, tourist or resident.
Central: Great place to play baseball, bike, or tour.

wow i can't believe i forgot riverside park, in my whole life living here, i think i have only gone there 3 times. It is really stunning, you wouldnt think so, it being so narrow, but there are alot of neat spots, im gonna take a trip up there sometime this week thanks.

The parks on Roosevelt Island are huge and practically empty at all times. Very nice for sports.

it will always be central park for me...

that park is a classic, and is everything a city park should be. really, i feel that the overall feel of the park is diverse, just like nyc itself. and it's so calm and peaceful too, the ultimate retreat for anyone who's in the city for the day and decides that he/she need a break from tall buildings and traffic for a while.

the park's so lush and green in the summer when i visited it. i never visited it during winter, but judging from pics i saw, it sure looks like a winter wonderland.
