D Leonor Hotel Inland Resort
Brgy., Communal Cabantian, Buhangin,
Davao City

The resort sits on a 26 hectares of land with amenities of the biggest wave pool in mindanao, a surf rider, a zoo, a zipline, a cable car, overnight cottages, restaurants, and picnic area..This coming May 14th 2011 will be the soft opening of the resort. Last week was the blessing of the resort complex. Full operation of the complex by mid-year of 2011..:)

Regarding sa cable car, may mga tao ganina naga taud ug cable wires near the restaurant area..murag dungan ang cable car sa wavepool na mag open.

Press Conference. Marvin Agustin is the endorser of Lana de Herba, which is a product of their sister company RDL. Marvin also mentioned about his upcoming restaurant in Abreeza called SumoSam, which will open in late June or early July. He also plans to expand his businesses to Cebu, Cagayan and GenSan.

The entire resort project looks promising, although getting there can be quite a challenge. But the resort will provide shuttle services to the downtown area. More amenities will be constructed in the future.

yup, it's 26 hectares daw. Wala pa daw silang final measurement sa length ng cable car ride, but they assured it's safe since it's made abroad.

OVERLOOKING the forested hills of Cabantian, a theme park is now slowly emerging as an inland resort and tourist destination. Emar’s phenomenal growth is seen at the project where a hotel is rising amidst beautiful chalets and townhouses. The soft launching included a motorcade, a parade of mascots and a press conference with Miss Mercedita D. Lim, Marvin Agustin and D’Leonor Hotel Operations Manager Elizabeth B. Bacalso.

Mrs. Leonora Lim led the ribbon cutting ceremony on May 14, 2011 with Councilor Al Ryan Alejandre, Committee on Tourism Chair.

The inland resort boasts of a Zip Line, a restaurant, wave pool, raging river, fishing lake, and is beautifully landscaped. The 26 hectares will be fully developed into a theme park with a horror house and hopefully, a gym where the athletic and wellness-conscious population can enjoy.

The wavepool is targeted to be completed before the end of May.

There are 40 chalets of elegant design, complete with furniture and fixtures offering the comfort of the home. There are also 20 cottages in "nipa" and bamboo and concrete.

The zipline soars above ground and is 460 meters long, giving an excellent view of the trees and green scenery below.

Currently, the mini zoo houses three ostriches. Soon, additional animals like baby tiger, lion, bear, and deer will be brought in.

The basketball court and the airconditioned chapel are now open.

According to Mercy Lim, events and marketing director, the newest resort that had a soft opening last May 14 is aspiring to be the premier tourist spot in Davao City and is aiming to provide excellent experience to all the guests with a theme park environment.

THERE'S a new oasis for fun and excitement that the people of Davao City can explore, and it's just near the heart of the metropolis.

Yes, Dabawenyos who want to sneak away from the bustling city life and want to relax and smell the fresh air of the countryside with their families can just motor anytime to the D' Leonor Inland Resort Waterpark and Wavepool.

The newest attraction in Davao City, D' Leonor Inland Resort is nestled in Purok 5, Barangay Communal in Cabantian. With an area of 26 hectares, the place is the biggest inland resort in Davao City.

What makes the place so attractive is its proximity--only a 10-minute ride from the Davao International Airport and good 15-minute ride from downtown Davao.

Mercy Lim, the resort's events and marketing director, swears that the D' Leonor Inland Resort will become the center of amusement in this part of the region with its excellent facilities.

The resort had its soft opening last May 14 which was attended by the owners led by Leonora Lim, Davao City Councilor Al Ryan Alejandre, actor Marvin Agustin and several invited guests, including those from the media.

Although construction of major facilities is still ongoing, the resort is already drawing customers as its cottages, zipline, fishing area, an airconditioned chapel and a basketball court are already available.

There will also be a wavepool, raging river, cable cars, restaurant and mini zoo to be constructed within the year for customers to enjoy. The wavepool is targeted to be completed before the end of May.

Currently, the mini zoo houses three ostriches. Mercy Lim said additional animals like baby tiger, lion, bear, and deer will be brought in soon.

Lim told journalists recently that D' Leonor Inland Resort is aiming to become the premier tourist spot in Davao City. With its impressive facilities, it will not be difficult for management to realize its goal.

As far as i know, that's their least priority for now...

Ni agi naman tingali ni sa city council, grabe naman ang paglambo sa resort, 4 storey hotel and convention center that will accomodate 2,500 people under construction pa at the moment..

Council okays D’ Leonor appeal despite violations

THE CITY council approved the request of D’Leonor Inland Resort to reclassify its lot at Purok 5, Barangay Communal, Buhangin District from agricultural to major commercial zone despite that the firm violated the zoning ordinance for constructing the project without permits.

The resolution authored by Councilor Arnolfo Ricardo Cabling, chair of the committee on housing, rural and urban development, cited that the company’s request should be granted as it complied with the requirements needed for the reclassification.

Among the requirements that the firm submitted before the committee include the zoning certification, certified true copy of title from the registry of deeds, barangay council resolution endorsing the request, and written affidavit of non-objection of the adjacent property owners.

“Upon review, considering that the development of the area did not really affect the general characteristic of the area and its surrounding vicinity, since Barangay Communal is predominantly residential in use, the project could in fact enhance the use and further development of the area,” the committee stated in its report.

It added that the barangay where the resort is situated has also issued a resolution of no objection and even welcomed the development. The firm’s application was approved for second reading during the regular session on Tuesday.

The company has started developing the area despite the lack of business permit. The Business Bureau issued a cease and desist order on June 9, and warned the company not to operate, pending the required business permit.

THE CITY council approved the request of D’Leonor Inland Resort to reclassify its lot at Purok 5, Barangay Communal, Buhangin District from agricultural to major commercial zone despite that the firm violated the zoning ordinance for constructing the project without permits.

The resolution authored by Councilor Arnolfo Ricardo Cabling, chair of the committee on housing, rural and urban development, cited that the company’s request should be granted as it complied with the requirements needed for the reclassification.

Among the requirements that the firm submitted before the committee include the zoning certification, certified true copy of title from the registry of deeds, barangay council resolution endorsing the request, and written affidavit of non-objection of the adjacent property owners.

“Upon review, considering that the development of the area did not really affect the general characteristic of the area and its surrounding vicinity, since Barangay Communal is predominantly residential in use, the project could in fact enhance the use and further development of the area,” the committee stated in its report.

It added that the barangay where the resort is situated has also issued a resolution of no objection and even welcomed the development. The firm’s application was approved for second reading during the regular session on Tuesday.

The company has started developing the area despite the lack of business permit. The Business Bureau issued a cease and desist order on June 9, and warned the company not to operate, pending the required business permit.
