I was walking on Franklin, around Randolph, sw corner. Looks like this site is getting ready for the 40ish story office tower.

Looks like this site is getting ready for the 40ish story office tower. The Urban Politician September 26th, 2004, 07:13 PM Are you sure? I haven't heard any announcements for an office building there. 24gotham September 26th, 2004, 07:36 PM Yeah, tearing down the old Merc was such a good idea. That vacant lot is so attractive..... Thre was no reason to tear down the old Merc, they could have easily built a nice 35-45 story building on the corner parking lot at Randolph and Franklin without destroying a piece of Chicago history. The Urban Politician September 26th, 2004, 07:43 PM Oh, that's the site. HOW FUCKING insane is this city? Packerguy October 22nd, 2004, 09:04 PM I saw on emporis.com that they had 32 story office building proposed at Franklin and Randolph. geoff_diamond October 22nd, 2004, 10:54 PM Where did you see this Packer? Packerguy October 23rd, 2004, 05:00 PM I saw it on www.emporis.com while I was scrolling through the buildings for Chicago. geoff_diamond October 23rd, 2004, 06:09 PM Can you be more specific? I haven't heard anything about this; I also happened to be at Giordano's on Randolph last night and strolled across the street to the empty lot... I didn't see any signs of anything, whatsoever, going on. Wu-Gambino October 23rd, 2004, 06:11 PM http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=205004 |
