I'll keep you updated.
SS454 September 27th, 2004, 12:25 AM That certainly is an insane amount of people. Im not a big fan of pure dense regions that are 95% sky scrapers, but its still impressive. One thing i dont like is how many buildings are totally degrated. Kinda makes an ugly look. But post more pics, so we can see the rest of your region. :)
vinman September 28th, 2004, 02:32 PM Too much skyscrapers, but it's nice! 7/10
Forza Raalte September 28th, 2004, 05:45 PM can I make city's like this with building likes this with simcity 4 (no downloads, no Rush hour expansion pack)
Þróndeimr September 29th, 2004, 08:36 PM Whoa....HUGE.... You have built a great city, the largest i've ever seen. But its way to much skyscrapers. You should have built mountains and such things between them perhaps, than it would become very nice. And, i would love to see some more images from each city, not only the region. 7/10
rbhriuthbu1234 October 7th, 2004, 01:00 AM This is the seventh most beautiful city in my region.

vid October 7th, 2004, 02:51 AM Lots of distressed buildings.. Te Simtropolis Population Record is about 27million.
rbhriuthbu1234 October 7th, 2004, 03:56 AM Hey vid just wondering what is the second biggest region population on
Simtropolis.
vid October 7th, 2004, 04:16 AM Hey vid just wondering what is the second biggest region population on
Simtropolis.
About 24 million. Then 23, 22, 21, 19, 18, 17, 15... althoug one guy made a city with 2.5 million people, copied it into a region over and over again, and got 87 million people. He cheated though, so it unnofficial.
rbhriuthbu1234 October 8th, 2004, 11:49 PM Christian, I'm going to post more pictures from the regions cities soon, from like prettiest ones to the ugliest ones. I wanted to have mountins in the region but, I knew I couldn't get as big populations.
rbhriuthbu1234 October 8th, 2004, 11:57 PM Forza Raalte,You can't have buildings like this because I bought simcity 4 deluxe, I always have had rush hour since I started playing simcity 4,But all I know is that it does require simcity rushhour, and the Transamerica pyramid in Downtown SanFrancisco I Downloaded from http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.insims.de/&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dinsims.de%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26sa%3DG
rbhriuthbu1234 October 11th, 2004, 05:14 AM The city of San Francisco was terrorized by an meteor and sims try to rebuild ther lost quickly.

The city is being evacuated beacause scientist told that a meteor shower was headed for the city.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v486/rbhriuthbu/09880574.jpg
But, the city didn't have enough time to evacuate and the meteor shower came three days earlier and only 10,000 people had evacuated there was still 600,000 people in the city.
People celebrate as they think that the disaster is over but it's not.

A sad total of 300,000 people were killed during this horrible disaster.
rbhriuthbu1234 October 17th, 2004, 06:23 AM Guess what, I just went to a website and this guy tells you how to make your region bigger by land and I just made my region 60% bigger and if you want to you can make it unlimeted land, but my new region estimate went from 24 million to 50 million and if I want to I could make it to a billion but, I won't. I'll be able to walk right pass the simtropolis record of 27 million. And if I run out of room at 50 million I'll just make the region larger by land again and continue on.
SS454 October 17th, 2004, 10:23 AM If you can beat the record without having 70% of your city degrated and have a nicely formed landscape, then i'll be impressed.
heirloom October 17th, 2004, 04:11 PM disasters are fun to watch!

I think the magic word is: config.bmp ;) try searching for that on this forum or SimTropolis.
gundamdude October 19th, 2004, 12:52 AM I think the magic word is: config.bmp ;) try searching for that on this forum or SimTropolis.
Sorry I don't do Simtropolis. Do you go on the cheat mode in the region?
rbhriuthbu1234 October 19th, 2004, 05:18 AM Now when you say cheat mode do you mean as in cheat codes as in you don't deserve it or weaknesspays? And I'll show you how to make your region with unlimeted land but before do, you need to make a copy of your region in case something goes wrong anI you won't screw up your region. To do this you need to go to My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions and look for yor regions name and when you do don't go into the file just right click and copy your region and then right click and click paste and when you do it will make a entire copy of your region with all the cities exactly in place. My next post will be how to make a region with unlimeted space.
Any qustions Just ask, geeze I should make this my signigture.
rbhriuthbu1234 October 19th, 2004, 06:23 AM Here is what he said.
Part 1: Making all city squares large:
1. Make a new region. (Ex. Florida)
2. Go into paint shop and click the open button under file.
3.Go to My Documents< Sim City 4< Regions< (your city name here)
4. Open up your region's name.
5. Double click config.
6. Zoom in 8x using the maginflying lens. It should have green, red and a little blue.
7. Choose the same blues the large blue squares and make ALL of the pixels blue (some of this blues might be differnt hues, so just choose 1).
8. Go back into Sim City 4 and load the city you edited in paint.
Part 2: Making a huge region
1. Follow steps 1-5 (see above)
2. Under image on the toolbar, click attributes
3. It says width= # length= #. Input 2 numbers that would make a square.
(Ex. width= 30 length= 30) Note: the more pixels you put in, the slower your computer will go.
4. Now the should be some colors in the top-left corner of the screen. The rest should be white. Color all the white blue if you want the region to have all large sqaures. If not, mix in some green and red.
5. Run Sim City 4 and load the region
rbhriuthbu1234 October 20th, 2004, 01:38 PM Breaking News:Evacution of the West Side!!!
San Franciscans have been reporting that they have been feeling tremors. The Mayor of San Francisco took this seriously because of the history of earthquakes in the city. Scientist took a look and what they found was startiling. Evidence shows that there was another fault line forming under the west side of San Francisco where over 3 million people live! The Mayor ordered an evacuation of the West side, and let me tell you there was chaos in the streets. Reports have been made that 10 people have already been injured in the evacution. Scientist say they belive the faultline may try to extend to the eastern part of San Francisco but, there's no sign as of yet.

As you noticed the new part of the region has nore highways that's because, I'm going to have them running all through the new part which includes, highways, subways, and elavated rail.

Yeah, I maen that cheat mode, and it is okay. I have just started a new one with a tiny town in it. So, personly, I don't care. :)

I'm sorry, I just know nothing about what yor talking about. I have no clue over computers. If it will gwt you frusterated over me, it's okay, just don't do it. I really don't need, just that it overcomes me with awsomeness. :)
Sky | Kai November 1st, 2004, 04:10 PM damn! that's so huge! thanks for the pics.
the most effective ways of getting a high number of inhabitants seem to be gridlined streets!
amazing. :)
Sy November 10th, 2004, 05:23 PM Great city, very impressive!
CityMan November 13th, 2004, 06:18 PM This city is so awsome
Fabio November 19th, 2004, 07:41 PM really big region and lots of density
CBD mad November 22nd, 2004, 11:11 AM very impressive
can i ask how fast your computer is, because i have trouble creating large cities over 900 000
and how did you create so much demand
rbhriuthbu1234 November 22nd, 2004, 01:56 PM Well, It depends on your quistion, Do you mean where did I get high demand on commercial? residential? Now on Industry, I do not have any of that in my region. I got my high demand from a city called yack mate which gave Downtown San Francisco high demand which pretty much started the region.
The computer I use has 512 mb of ram on it. It does occasionally freeze up though.
By the way, Welcme to Skyscrapecity :).
CBD mad November 29th, 2004, 03:34 AM Thanks
i more interested in creating a central commercial city sorrounded by high density residential then industry then the urban sprawl for realism.
the only way i could create demand to get buildings like pedriana pharmecuticals (7000 co$$$) was to copy and paste a residential city of 500 000
I personally don't like this way because it causes massive instabillity in the rci demand model if that made sense.
do you have any suggestions without involving copying cities
rbhriuthbu1234 November 30th, 2004, 03:26 AM Do you mind downloading cities on the internet?
CBD mad November 30th, 2004, 04:41 AM i have a slow dialup internet speed, however my school has 2.5mb broadband, i could always download it there and save to disc, would that work?
rbhriuthbu1234 December 2nd, 2004, 05:05 PM Update: The region now has 28 million, I wasn't planning on updating it until I had 30 million but I decided to go ahead and update anyway.

AG December 5th, 2004, 05:02 AM Mate, that is just insane mate!!! :eek2:
I don't mind the fact that there's tonnes of skyscrapers across your region (thats the part I love). But what you could improve really is the planning. Your cities are jam packed! Where are any open spaces? Never seen an airport with skyscrapers surrounding it on every side before. :) How congested are your cities? You have subways? Why so many run down buildings, are your cities filled with crime or heavy pollution? Must say your downtown looks absolutely awesome though.
My rating 6.5/10
P.S I'll post some pics of my region soon (9.25 million sims)
rbhriuthbu1234 December 5th, 2004, 07:34 AM Yes I do use subways but only in medium and large maps but not in small maps because there is no need to put a subway in such a small area but as you noticed there are alot of randown not abondoned buildings, There is a city of 1.4 million people in this region ( my second biggest city) that has alot of randown buildings but not abondoned, The river that curves in the region you will notice in the region view a alot of randown buildings in that section that curves with the river that is the city with 1.4 million and that big glob of randown building may look abondoned but they are not that is where 7-800,000 thousand people live! Buildings may look abondoned but somtimes are just randown. There is hardly any pollution in this region because I have a building/power plant that takes care of that. Traffic isn't bad but only if i have a subway. But I would have to say that 40-60% of the region is congested. The crome in this city I wouldn't know about because i never really check on that but when I do I never see any robberies.
By the way I'm planning on starting a new region in Feburary it will be called Los Angeles and this is going to be a realistic model to the real city, Downtown will have skyscrapers but then the rest will just spral for miles like the real city, I will stop doing the region once it's reached 10 million because the real metro Los Angeles has 9-10 million, But I will work on the region of San francisco just as much though I am never planning on ending the region till simcity 5 comes out which will probably come out in 2 years.
lester October 30th, 2005, 03:20 PM fantastic! 10/10
SkylineTurbo October 31st, 2005, 03:43 AM The city centre looks like Kabul after that earthquake. But anyway, 10/10. :okay:
ccecill October 31st, 2005, 05:38 AM Nice reigon. It looks more like Gotham than San Fransisco. :) It's still great. 8.5 out of 10. Do you use any STEX downloads in your cities?
BuffCity November 1st, 2005, 06:18 PM 6/10
first off...impressive, I know it takes a long time to get to this point to have 30 million, I commend you for the effort you have given.
I don't care for the sea of skyscrapers design myself, I play as a realist but hey...who cares. The layout is kinda bland IMO, it needs parks, it needs canals, less airports and more expressways...overall I would say invest time into the transportation and astesthics of the cities now...make them cleaner, clearer and richer.
very interesting overall.
radekmysza November 2nd, 2005, 12:08 AM It doesnt look like city, so many talls, but i appreciate your work and give 5.
PhillyPhilly90 November 5th, 2005, 01:32 AM Why do people enjoy thse type of cities with skyscrapers all over the region, so damn unrealistic!!! Why can't people build a major city of a million or so surrounded by smaller cities then suburbs then farms<<<the person who does that, I will automatically give them a 11/10. San Francisco has no look....just skyscrapers everywhere...I don't like it. I'll give it a 3/10.

I dont like those cities either but cmon this is pretty impressive and would take alot of patience nice job with this region i myself am to impatient to build such big cities the biggest i had was 350,000 but the region was like 1.5 million.
redhead55 November 27th, 2005, 06:13 AM Man, is there a tip im missing to get those big co$$ and co$$$ skyscrapers? I have plenty in one of my cities, but it took me a loooong time to do. How do you get the demand so high and fast without using the mod off simtrop?
By the way-great city. A lot of people are telling you that you have too many skyscrapers, but thats because your main focus is to have a friggin huge population while others tend to focus on details in only a few cities.
BuffCity December 28th, 2005, 05:55 AM nice, I like the idea...and I understand what is the goal here...
but some people let the game get away from them...kinda like a guitar player always playing a solo in every song, in every concert...it's kinda unimpressive after a while
nice work needless to say.
Fabio December 28th, 2005, 07:36 PM that's just insane man, really impressive.
:okay:
london-b December 29th, 2005, 12:58 AM The population is impressive, but that doesn't make it any better than a city with only 2 million in it, it's ok overall.
Cape Town Guy December 29th, 2005, 10:44 AM Your city is SIC!
I really am one for density, but this is insane. I love it.
It is rather unrealistic, but it still looks great in my oppinion.
Though what are your commute times, because you dont have much in the way of a public transport system?
You must be using an RCI boaster?
11/10 :)
OtAkAw January 20th, 2006, 06:25 AM You havent left any empty spaces! no big parks and everything! it's all concrete piles and i dont like that.
seanlax5 January 21st, 2006, 05:59 AM Dude, your retarded! What a waste of time IMHO
heavyzakura334 January 22nd, 2006, 08:52 PM I think your city has no character.
JohnnyMass January 22nd, 2006, 09:53 PM looks like a really bad south american urban area...
kiddorbitz01 April 26th, 2006, 10:18 PM Dude that is the densest and largest region i have ever seen!!!! San Francisco looks nothing like that by the way. Its nice, but I ,being whay Lysd calls a "sprawl lover", think there is way too many scrapers. nice job either way
daniel322 June 13th, 2006, 03:34 PM amazing!! ain't there industry zones??
FlowFlow June 24th, 2006, 02:02 PM I agree.. the grid road system is choking up as seen in your mayor messages..
Try to adopt new road styles, go diagonal.. and do add some parks..
haha.. haven't used any cheat in my region yet, since I'm only learning the basics..
