Near the intersection of Pharmacy and Eglinton in Scarborough there is a tall black communications tower operated by Bell. I've always wondered how tall it is (my best guess is about 120m) but have been unsuccessful in finding any information about it at this site or via google.

Perhaps someone here might know?

I always see it when going east on eglinton
id say its about 200m
cause it looks massive, even from far away

I lived across the street from it for several years - even nicknaming it the "monolith". It's certainly tall but I don't think it's quite 200m.

Time for someone to use the trigonometry they learned in high school. :D

500 feet even. A friend did some work on it when it was re-painted a few years ago.

152.4 metres. Pretty tall. There is a 300 foot (60m) tall cell tower in front of my house, owned by TBayTel. It's big and white.

I'm wondering though.. Do you think the solid towers (monopoles) are easier to look at then the skeltal towers? Everyone says they're ugly, but i'm okay with monopole towers, except one in our downtown..

a) im pretty sure 300 feet is about 100m not 60
b) i like skeletal towers more

Yeah baby, yeah...it was wrong math. Since we have devices to convert
these measures one shouldn't do such a mistake, anyway here's the right
math:
300 ft = 91.4 m
152m =498.5 ft

ps
but you were close....

It was 200 feet, tyop gnomse :P

152.4 metres (like I said) is 500ft. You took off the decimal. 200 ft is 60.96 metres.

You lost sleep over the height of a tower? If I lost sleep over the height of a tower, I'd have over 20 towers to research!
