Topola is a small town in the central part of Serbia, in the region of Šumadija, well known by the foundation church and mausoleum church of Serbian royal family of the Karađorđevićs, built by king of Serbia, Petar in 1910-1912. Frescos inside the church are done in the 2nd largest European mosaic and are mix of replics of the best frescos of Serbian medieval monasteries from Serbia that time which includes today's Former Yugoslav Repulic of Macedonia, that time southern Serbia. The church dedicted to st. George is placed at the top of nice, woody hill of Oplenac.
Very famous are wines of Oplenac from king's vineyards.
This is one of the top touritsic destinations for foreign but domestic tourists as well. Beside the church and tobms of Serbian kings and queens you can see the Museum, Karađorđe's fortification (he was the leader of the First Serbian Uprising - Revolution in 1804. and founder of one of the 3 Serbian royal families in the 19th century - the Karađorđevićs and the Obrenovićs in Serbia and the Petrovićs in Serbian land of Montenegro, thou Karađorđe's parents are from the land of Montenegro as well ).
