Sub forum for MDU,CBE,Trichy and SA under Tamil Nadu.

Dear all,

I was thinking about it for some time, why not we can have 4 sub forums for Madurai, Coimbatore,Trichy and Salem under SkyscraperCity ..... > South > Tamil Nadu and bring all Madurai related threads under Madurai,bring all Coimbatore related threads under Kovai and same with Trichy and same with Salem.

few members have expressed the same

Leave Tamilnadu forum as such! Otherwise make separate subforum for Coimbatore and Madurai alone with TN sub-forum



I am happy with the way how TN Sub forum is now. All the Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities are covered by specific threads. Bigger ones like Coimbatore & Madurai have more threads.
Common threads are also there which cover the entire state excluding Chennai.

Same thing is okay for other states also.

And within TN, Coimbatore and MAdurai need separate section.. Karnataka would need Mysore and Mangalore I think.. Similarly, for Kerla and AP.

Good idea. We need to get atleast one first. Then we can get it for other important cities which got more than 3 thread and are upto date.

Madurai and Coimbatore definitely need a separate subforum.. We see a lot of posts and lot of threads for these cities.. And I think mostly it will be done by this Reorg thing..

First the madurai and coimbatore sub forums are very important....Bcoz only this two cities has many thread related to their cities...SO this is great Idea...

Lets give request to Kannan infratech or sudheesnairs or indiansunite or suncity....

Yes...The time has come for separation for MDU and CBE

Even Trichy also can be splited....but its according to the moderator's wish

Send a PM to one of the mods guys, maybe Kannan sir! there is a layout done by akash which for me looked okay at the moment. TN forum with CBE, MDU, Trichy, Salem, Rest of TN subforums was a format present there in the layout.

Would be happy if you guys also ask for only actual metros to be represented in the layout and not the forcibly presented misleading ones!

I just edited from simpliCITY suggestion for the following reason.

* Arranged in Alphabatical order
* Included Salem also in Tamilnadu section as these city also have lot of post and as equal to Trichy & Madurai..
* removed Thirusur & Kannur as some of the forum people suggested
* and for Typo error...
* Also this is my wish

Keep your Childish thought in Madurai section alone... Ealier we don't entertain for separate threads for each topic as it was very difficult to dig it from tyamilnadu sub forum..

Now there is a change to get sub forum, so we can very well start threads for specific activity...

I don't think Salem need a separate sub forum. As we can see for past 1yr participation rate in Salem thread as dropped much.

Once it was more visited thread than other tier II cities present threads, but it has lost the charm for past one year. And also only one thread is there for Salem as of now!

^^ Who knows next reorg would take place after 3 years... better to keep Salam also along with CBE, Madurai & Trichy... We have enough people like Arul, Vijayan, Palsen, Into_salem etc...

I would say, lack of participation in the past one year is only temperary.. Hope Salem will be more active in future like what we witnessed last one year back...

^^ Development activities in and around Salem slowed down due to the dumb local minister, Mayor and collector. Hopefully, Salem gets back on track with the new government.

I think we have to utilize this opportunity. As kg4129 mentioned if not now, then we have to wait for few years. So it is good to have a sub forum for Salem.

Hope Salem would get new projects under the new government/local body.

I would advise all of you to visit the chaibar thread and post your comments in Reorg thread. That way, other forumers from other states may also view your comments and respond.

The main idea is based on the fact that many sub forums are not even visited by others not connected to the city. Except Metro, TN & Kerala forums, traffic is very less even among the connected.

In case of clubbing and bringing under single TN Sub Forum, everybody is forced to visit the top page of the TN Sub Forum.

Already we have a few forums each for Madurai & Coimbatore. Almost the entire area is covered in all parts of TN.

I am for continuing with the present structure with little bit of tweeking - combining a few less traffic threads together.

I support this argument, only actual metros should be listed; what for trivandrum and kochi is listed in metros, when pune, secundrabad, vizag and other cities that are larger than kochi and trivandrum being omitted.

If you wanna add trivandrum to metro, then add trichy, CBE,MDU to the list.

^^ Well said Nellai.. Actually I have raised the same questions before. Why our CBE has not been added? And in what basis Kochi, Trivandrum are added in Metros.. The reason came from the moderators is that due to high rises they have added them. Then is it like Pune, Kanpur and other cities don't have highrises?

General Topics can include the threads on mega power projects, Arrattai Arangam, Buses , Tourist Places etc....

The problem is, all the active members from Salem are currently outside or very busy. We were able to keep Salem thread very much active in the past with frequent visual and project updates.

I am sure, things will get back on track soon and we can very well see the thread picking up the lost momentum.

If we group our cities, then nobody from other states would view other of our Tamilnadu threads
