Hi everybody,

I'm Stijn, I'm 18 years old, and I live in Belgium.
I recently started learning Swahili because I absolutely love the language.
I just finished the first unit in some old language-course i found in the library.
So my Swahili doesn't go much further than "Hujambo, bwana. Ninatoka Ubelgiji. Mimi ni mtalii" yet.

If anyone would like to add me on facebook (or msn or whatever), I'd love you to do that. Close and immediate online contact on facebook really helped me learn Afrikaans. So why wouldn't that work for Swahili?

I can already speak Dutch, English, French, Afrikaans and a little German.
I really hope i get the chance to communicate in the Swahili language and meet fun people.

I first accidentally put this in the Ethiopian forum, so sorry if you're coming across this twice.

1st of all welcome to Kenyan forum, guess any of the many speakers here can chip in. I bet you just want to be able to converse in Swahili so I would not delve into the structures.

Some basic Swahili common words to keep you going(beginners). You will of course notice the heavy influences of Arabic - Bantu languages.

Greetings
