DUBAI, UAE and MCLEAN, Va. – Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement with Dar Al Bayan Real Estate Development Co. for the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The 430-key Hilton Al Jubail is scheduled to open in Q1 2014.
Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts said: “Hilton Al Jubail marks our entry into a new key city in the Kingdom. With 93-years of experience, global expertise, and the ability to tailor to our local communities, Hilton Al Jubail will ably support the city’s development into a business and tourism center.”
The hotel, located on the Al Jubail corniche, will be one of the few waterfront developments being built, adjacent to the upcoming marina and in close proximity to Industrial Zone 1, the city’s business hub. Construction of the 400-room and 30-suite chalets hotel is scheduled to start early next year. The property will feature two specialty restaurants, an all-day dining restaurant and a lobby lounge. The facilities will include four meetings rooms, two boardrooms, a 700-sq m ballroom, business centre, executive lounge, private beach, outdoor swimming pools and a health club.
“Al Jubail is of strategic importance to Hilton Worldwide’s development plans in Saudi Arabia – its growing significance to the economy and its coastal location, makes it one of the most dynamic cities in the region, attracting both regional and international. We are delighted to partner with Dar Al Bayan Real Estate Development Co. and look forward to expanding our brand footprint into the eastern province,” said Rudi Jagersbacher, area president, Middle East & Africa, Hilton Worldwide.
The hotel will be designed as a city resort to meet the requirements of the business and leisure tourism markets. Demand will be driven by the industrial sectors with medium to long-stay business and meetings and conferences, as well the domestic and expatriate weekend vacation market.

Hilton Worldwide currently has six hotels operating and 13 hotels in the development pipeline in Saudi Arabia.

} ‏أكد صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سلطان بن سلمان رئيس الهيئة العامة للسياحة والآثار بأن تطبيق الهيئة لنظام التصنيف الجديد لقطاع الإيواء السياحي أسهم في تطوير الاستثمار الفندقي وظهور مشاريع فندقية جديدة شجع الكثير من الشركات العالمية للدخول لسوق السفر والسياحة بالمملكة, واصفا سموه السياحة بأنها «الفرصة الاستثمارية القادمة»،. وقال سموه بأن قطاع السياحة الوطنية والقطاعات المساندة التي تصنف من قطاع الخدمات هي أحد أهم ثلاث قطاعات مولدة لفرص العمل للمواطنين، وذلك حسب استراتيجية السياحة الوطنية المحدثة التي أقرت قبل أسابيع ومن المؤمل رفعها للدولة خلال الأيام المقبلة.

وأشار سموه خلال رعايته أمس الأحد لاتفاقية الشراكة بين مجموعة البيان القابضة وشركة هيلتون العالمية لإدارة وتشغيل أكبر فندق ومنتج سياحي في المنطقة الشرقية، أشار إلى أن المشروع الوطني لتنمية الموارد البشرية (تكامل) الذي تديره الهيئة منذ عشر سنوات ويعمل بشكل لصيق مع الجامعات السعودية، والمؤسسة العامة للتعليم الفني والتدريب المهني، وصندوق تنمية الموارد البشرية، سيتحول إلى (المركز الوطني لتنمية الموارد البشرية السياحية)، لافتاً إلى أن حزم تدريب وتحفيز وتمويل جديدة ستطلقها الهيئة بالتضامن مع صندوق تنمية الموارد البشرية، وعدد من الشركاء «نؤمل أن يكون هذا العام عاماً حافلاً للسياحة الوطنية، وذلك بعد صدور عدد من القرارات المتوقعة من الدولة، والتي ستساهم بدورها في توفير فرص عمل للمواطنين».

وذكر الأمير سلطان بن سلمان بأن تصنيف الفنادق والشقق المفروشة الجديد شجع الكثير من الشركات العالمية للدخول لسوق السفر والسياحة بالمملكة «أرض الحرمين وقبلة المسلمين، والتي تتمتع أيضاً بشعبها المضياف الكريم والمرحب بالضيف ويعشق خدمة وطنه، فضلاً عن موارد طبيعية، ومقومات سياحية، وبنية تحتية». وأكد سموه أن السوق المحلي بالمملكة يشهد طلباً كبيراً لم يواكبه بعد عرض سياحي مماثل «لقد أصبح السائح المواطن الذي أطلع على التجارب السياحية في الوجهات المجاورة، أصبح يطلب الخدمات المتكاملة، ونحن نعمل على ذلك، غير أننا بحاجة لمزيد من الوقت والدعم، حتى يتمكن قطاع السياحة الوطنية من المنافسة».

من جانبه قال رئيس مجلس إدارة مجموعة البيان القابضة محمد الحماد بأن فندق ومنتجع هيلتون الجبيل الذي يجري إنشاؤه بمحلة دارين بجوار مرسى القوارب المطلة على الواجهة البحرية بالجبيل، يعد أكبر مشروع فندقي في المنطقة الشرقية، من حيث طاقته الإيوائية التي تصل إلى أربعمائة غرفة وشقة فندقية وثلاثين شاليهاً فخماً إلى جانب المرافق الرئيسية مثل مركز رجال الأعمال، وقاعة المؤتمرات، وقاعة متعددة الأغراض، والنادي الصحي، والمطاعم المتعددة التي تناسب كل الأذواق. وذكر بأن ارتفاع المبنى يبلغ خمسة عشر طابقاً، وقد روعي في تصميمه أن يكون تحفة معمارية تتكامل مع جمال المنطقة البحرية، ويتوقع أن تنتهي الأعمال الإنشائية في المشروع بنهاية 2013.

وأعرب عصام عبودة نائب الرئيس في هيلتون العالمية (شبه الجزيرة العربية والمحيط الهندي)، عن سعادته بالشراكة مع مجموعة البيان القابضة، وقال إن فرص النمو تضاعفت في مدن المملكة، كما أن توفر البنية التحتية في الجبيل الصناعية التي تتطلبها السياحة وموقع المدينة الاستراتيجي شجع هيلتون العالمية لإدارة وتشغيل المشروع. وكان رئيس مجلس إدارة مجموعة البيان القابضة محمد الحماد وعصام عبودة نائب الرئيس في هيلتون العالمية (شبه الجزيرة العربية والمحيط الهندي) وقعا اتفاقية تقوم هيلتون بإدارة وتشغيل فندق ومنتجع هيلتون الجبيل، الذي تبلغ تكلفته 600 مليون ريال، وذلك بحضور صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سلطان بن سلمان رئيس الهيئة العامة للسياحة والآثار.
