I'll hazard a guess that William Lim was "inspired" by a similar pool at the Adelphi in Melbourne. The hotel he always patronise whenever he's in Melbourne lecturing. Only thing different is that the pool at the Adelphi is smaller and has a glass base that let swimmers see through to the street below.

the prices.. i dunno really.. go to its website and check? maybe 100-219 if i remember correctly.
room service menu... i forgot i think its conventional stuff. had some pasta. my mom's church actually had a retreat there and i just tagged along and studied there for o' levels. went back the next day in a cab and lost my phone haha.

Yah.....the pool feels rather "transparent", ppl can see what you're doing in the pool......:lol:

I've tried Hotel 81 at Geylang before :D
Not that bad lah....just that the night environment is totally opposite its daytime environs around that area hehehe......food there also not bad :D

very nice decor indoor but the problem is that we have to walk all the way from the nearest clarke quay mrt station and along the way, it seems to be more deserted and less nice things to be seen while walking..

Yeah....I think the main problem is the location......(I'm referring to distance to MRT)......but I do notice the busstops are quite nearby......:yes:

Wah then good luck to the tourist who choose Gallery.....haha....:D But i think hotels in that area might face the same problem.....one I could think of is Swissotel Merchant Court (the Central construction right next door)....:yes:

Theyre now demolishing the old trademart to make way for Rivergate, plus the future Watermark project just in front of Gallery...all the redevelopment....might be noisy at the pool...
