Welcome to the edo era town of Izushi. Most of the buildings date back to Japan's goldern age when Kyoto was the capital and largest city in the 1600s.The town is located near the Japan sea about 250km north of Osaka.Very small and not important in its heyday, but an important destination in the local area today as most of its buildings still remain.A little Kyoto.
Here is the map

The well known clock tower of Izushi.Built in the Meji era(1860s) to show off Japan's entry into the modern age.

Ok.Time to head home on a combination of country roads and high speed expressways. On the way up i managed to take this beautiful machine at 165km/h though a 7 km tunnel on the expressway on the way up from Osaka.
Not something I like to do.I was just curious how fast it would go.I figured a tunnel was the safest place to try.
Mmmmmm.Skywave.I will go where you take me
