WORK STARTS: Demolition and clearing works underway at Viera Street and South Quay yesterday as the East Port-of-Spain development project has begun.

Hey Guys I found renders of the HDC's Eastbridge project in South Quay.

As for the above, that's the rendering of the East POS development they keep showing on TV. Thats where all the old warehouses/eyesores are located at the entrance to the city. This needs to be built and properly maintained. Also this doesn't look like the typical government housing projects. I get the feeling that this will be targeted at the middle income to higher end customer.
Technically there should be no complaints as the land is currently unused, however I wonder how such a community would fit in with the rest of East POS. It would be a definite breath of fresh air if this became the norm.

So I found this great site for eyescream, a company similar to Create3D who does renderings for many of the projects in Port of Spain and in Trinidad in general. Check it out there are tons of projects from all over T&T.

Skylimitone I was wondering if you could get emporis to add this development to their data base, at least the highrise component of the project.
(they include a 23 floor apt tower and a 21 floor office tower which appear to share a 3 floor podium from observation of the renderings)

I will see what I can do for the Emporis Database. Let me confirm, part of the overall development is a complex with a 23 floor apt tower and a 21 floor office tower sharing a 3 floor podium?
In order to have the complex and development added I need to have a source more official than here though. Is there an article online? I'd like to get a breakdown of the entire plan, but I'm sure thats hard to find, like most data about projects in Trinidad.

I suspected u'd say that, yes its next to impossible to find any official info on the project. btw the 21 & 23 floors are inclusive of the podium.

The little info on the HDC site only mentions the number of apartment units at south quay (426) and no real info on the buildings themselves.

So basically we are left to piece together the info from this and the renderings. I guess that's not good enough for emporis.

Who is all moving to T&T, Venezuelans?

Plenty nationalities are moving to T&T, including many Jamaicans. But that housing complex (doubt it will be built currently) will be for locals.

Lets hope that it is on schedule as one of the 74 projects or so that UDECOTT is planning to start in the near future.
