View Full Version : Romantic spots in HK?
SanMiguel September 30th, 2004, 09:41 PM Hi all
i'm looking for romantic spots to go with my girl at her birthday.
daytime is still planned but i wanna surprise her in the evening.
what do u think abt the Cafe Deco at Peak Galleria?
or: Aqua at 1 Peking Road?
or dinner in that restaurant at top of peninsula?
Any other hints?
Thanks in advance
.
Jaroslaw October 1st, 2004, 02:50 AM I've been to the first two, and I can't say they're so romantic. The Peninsula will destroy your wallet. At night, I recommend the beach in Stanley, with that old officers' quarters building. I think some buses go there. Or you can try the reconstructed old teahouse (I forget the name, but it's really famous) in Deep Water Bay.
zergcerebrates October 2nd, 2004, 01:32 PM of course FELIX! You can try Dynasty Club at Grand Hyatt but I doubt you can get in.
btw check out this website its a very trendy restaurant/pub in HK

zergcerebrates October 2nd, 2004, 01:33 PM Actually you can rent a boat out to victoria harbour just the two of you and thats romantic. Sitting on the deck sipping Champagne and enjoying the glamours HK skyline.
SanMiguel October 2nd, 2004, 07:31 PM thx so far.
Jaroslaw, at daytime we have BBQ at Deep Water Bay... so i dun thing i wisst stay there.
Zerg!
renting a boat sounds nice! do u know the company name by any chance?
shall i ask HK Tourism Board?
.
vincent October 2nd, 2004, 11:50 PM how about the revolving restaurant of Hopewell center?
i know there is a restaurant with sea view near the top floors of the great eagle towers (not sure the west or the east tower though)
Syd-Hk October 3rd, 2004, 03:29 PM why not the disneyland (under construction) for a childish couple!
Sher October 3rd, 2004, 09:32 PM 1 Peking Aqua is really expensive, but the view is absolutely stunning and the food.... yum.... :eat:
But if you choose 1 Peking, make sure not to bring your camera or you will forget your girl !
SanMiguel October 4th, 2004, 08:54 PM Sher!
i already was in Aqua...the view is not so stunning, well maybe not in summer..
outside was hot, inside cool , so the windows were steamy at the outside :(
i was very disappointed.
The food was nice though. and you pay a minimum of 300HK$/person.
Bunny October 5th, 2004, 04:41 AM why not the disneyland (under construction) for a childish couple!

Manila-X December 22nd, 2005, 10:38 AM I prefer Cafe Deco but if you're really looking for a romantic spot to hang out, I suggest you take your girl at The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade :)

Manila-X December 22nd, 2005, 10:52 AM On 2nd thought, I suggest you eat with your girl somewhere in Tsim Sha Tsui like Aqua for example.
