Rundeskogen consists of three towers of 12-15 stories with a total of 114 flats between 60m2 and 140 m2. The project is located at a major
traffic intersection linking three bigger cities of the region.

The emphasis has been to balance the tall building typology with generous and attractive public green space on the ground. To minimize the
footprint of the three towers and retain the fjord view for neighbors, the first apartment floors have been lifted off the ground, cantilevering from
the core and creating covered outdoor spaces.

The organizing element of the entire project is the star-shaped core structure of concrete, where the fins are extended as separation walls
between the flats. On the ground floor, the fins and bracings of this stem-like core spread out as roots which integrate social meeting places,
play and training facilities, generous entrance halls and communal gathering spaces. The orientation and floor plans of the flats are optimized
according to views and sun, and integrated winter gardens with folding doors create a flexible quality to the living space.

The three towers have been shaped to allow for diagonal views. The surfaces are divided into a triangular cladding pattern which creates
different light shades for each element. The towers have solar collectors on the roofs, as well as geothermal heat pumps in the ground.

Description about each building:
Hus A (Trinn 1) består av 33 leiligheter. Bygget blir 10 etasjer høyt. Hus B (Trinn 2) blir et høyhus på 51m med 16 etasjer. Bygget får 47
leiligheter. Hus C (Trinn 3) blir et bygg på 11 etasjer med 33 leiligheter.

I'm not a huge fan. Do you know what the facade will be made of? Looks very cheap in the close up renders. And surely the projects should rather be named "én bygning som kan minne om et tårn og to nærliggende klosser"?

How the wood currently looks like in the render don't give me wood at least. The lower part looks good, but the upper part simply looks like cheap aluminium to me. Hope it looks better when finished though.

These towers look like multi-storey shacks.

If it's a consolement, they looked much worse in the first renderings. For Norwegian highrises the shape and material are somewhat bold at least.

I can't see any of the old renders posted by Ingenioren (is it just me or is this problem to everyone?),but as far as I remember,original cladding was slightly different? I think the change is good,but there's definitely more room for improvement. :D

Theyre not towers... they look like trees! Giant fracking trees with short trunks!

Took a few pics from across the fjord today. The ¨tre taarn¨buildings sure will be visual in the landscape.
Difficult to say how much taler the first building (12 floors) will be...

Thanks for the updates! An inspiration to us all.

I hope for a beautiful cladding somewhat close to those from the renders. A good cladding would do magic for the towers, and hopefully turn some nimbys around as well.

I was actually hoping the cladding would look nothing like the renders as I don't think it looks particularly good there. I hope the end result is better though.

I agree! Thought I saw something that could remind of the renderings at the top there... Anyways, need to see more to get a proper impression.:)
