Man oh Man!

What I would do to see these neighborhoods get developed. There are already plans (you can visualize Riverside Park's plans) to build them. Could you imagine the enormous possibilities for development, excitement, nightlife, etc between south Clark st and the river?

Honestly, they would be a great southern extension of the western portion of downtown, as well as a great gateway to the Sears tower.

But alas, there are too many delays. I haven't heard any word about these developments in 6 months. Does anybody know what is happening?

I havent heard of LaSalle Park... where is that to be constructed? Can anyone provide links to thier website? ...if one exists, such as the one for Riverside Park...

they mention starting construction on Riverside park in 2005 in this "City Living" monthly section of the Sun Times below:

Looks like a bit of good news.

....now they just need to do something about that one spot---what was it called again? Oh yeah--Block 37!

Yeah I know, it will be funny though to see the whole area developed with a giant gaping block of open land in the middle, Block 37. How could that be possible with tens of thousands of condos being built and tons of highrises all around it? But it sure is working out that way.
